It looks like Michael Bay is now tackling the TMNT franchise as well. deadline.com: http://www.deadline.com/2010/05/platinum-dunes-steers-turtles-relaunch/#more-44238
I hope this means we'll see the REAL Turtle Van/Party Wagon on the big screen. Y'know, like the toy? The one with the mounted cannons and deploying bombs!
Oh today is not a good day to be a Turtles fan. So is Michael Bay going to be the high budget version of Uwe Boll who goes around pillaging childhood cartoons from the 80s?
No... NO... It can't be. I've never heard of this site, so why should we trust them? They might be trying to make up a scoop... No! A Ninja Turtle film can't be directed by Bay! I love the Bayfilms, but he'll do the same thing to the Turtles - they cuss a lot, are crude, have sexy yet worthless female actors, etc. This isn't true to me unless something else comes up.
Agreed. Even if you are joking. Im not joking. I love Bay's works. Except RotF. That movie annoys me the more I watch it.
Read the original post. Michael Bay is PRODUCING the movie, he's not directing. That means, as seen in Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street, he has nothing to do with the movie itself, his name just gets flashed across the screen at the start of the movie.
Alright, alright, I apologize. I jumped the shark. I just didn't want Bay to do to TMNT what he did to ROTF.
Still, I just don't want Michael Bay even INVOLVED with TMNT. After a really awesome 25th Anniversary, I don't want the dysfunctional director to even get near the heroes in a half-shell.
