Not news, sorry, there must be at least 3 threads about this, not including the closed ones.

The only complaining I ever really get sick of is Michael Bay's.

I'd say Hugo and his 8 lines per movie are replaceable. While I liked his gritty Megs voice, its not really something iconic enough that it will be missed.

I agree with Bay. If he felt that his work wasn't fulfilling enough, why agree to do it in the first place? ? If the work wasn't worth what he got paid for it, I'd gladly take the money he doesnt feel he earned.

Looks like Weaving's not coming back for TF4 then!!!!

I think Frank Welker or David Kaye should get the gig instead (or Patrick Stewart)

I agree with Bay. Actors are crybabies who do nothing and make tons of money and act like their job is so hard. Try working in a hot dirty factory for $10 an hour.

Anyway, I would be fine if they went with galvatron for movie #4 or if they use megatron when he gets rebuilt give Welker the job so Megs sounds like Megs again!!

Hugo Weaving was not my choice for voicing Megatron in the first place. I think they should have gone with Frank Welker..so he does 2 voicing jobs (Megatron and Soundwave)..he did it in the G1 series..so why the hell can't he do it in TF4?

I would agree that Bay was in the right IF Weaving had been complaining about the job, but he clearly wasn't. He spoke frankly that the job didn't mean much to him, but he happily came in and did it for THREE movies, and now since his contract is up and his character is dead for the second time, he's fine not doing it anymore.

He wasn't bitching about it not being artistic enough at all, just saying its not his cup of tea. It sounds like Bay is just butt hurt that someone wasn't chomping at the bit to be in one of his movies.

This. Reading the interview again, I don't see any discontent or hostility coming from the man. He did it and was like "ok I did it."
