[Debunked] Rumor: Jason Statham Being Considered to Take over TRANSFORMERS Franchise - Page 2
So much for Jason working with the Stunticons to pull a job in a brand-new Audi.
...but really, the majority of studio rumors these days just makes little sense: like they'd already be taking a new film so soon afterwards?
Of course they would, at least, a fourth film would be getting greenlit at this stage. But choosing a new lead etc, not likely for a while.
You know, I'd watch that. As like an episode of TF Prime or something, 'The Transporter' has earned himself a new set of wheels, Wildrider, who helps him do his morally dubious jobs in exchange for sanctuary and energy.
Bay has a point, lets not speculate until next summer.
Phew. What a relief to hear the confirmation from the man himself.
So glad he won't be in TF4.
Although Transformers 3 came out, it doesn't mean they can't talk about sequels already. Everytime a huge movie comes out and people see it they question whether or not there is going to be a sequel to it. Happens all the time and with Dark of the Moon already taking in half a billion dollars, we are pretty much guaranteed a 4th one.
Glad Jason Statham will not ruin the 4th for me. I would just be happy if Carly, Lennox, Epps, Simmons, and Dutch would be in it.
thank god, i hate jason statham movies!
How would he know about a reboot?
we just have to see in the coming year!!!!
i just cant wait for transformers 4........ if Micheal Bay will do TF4 thats good!! plus i heard rumors that he will do TF4 dont count a egg before they hatch!!!
Uhh...I realize this was a far-fetched rumor to begin with, but wouldn't his guess be as good as ours? I mean, he's done with Transformers, and therefore wouldn't have anything to do with this anyway.
If he does do a TF4, it probably won't be for another 3-5 years since he has some other projects that he wants to do. He's supposedly doing "Pain & Gain" next and then would like to do another "Bad Boys." By that timeline, I think Paramount will have found someone else, unless the new "Bad Boys" script doesn't make the cut and/or the stars' salaries become too high.
What about Sam?
Fuck that guy, he's dull
I sincerely doubt the validity of the rumour, but if Bay isn't involved with the film franchise anymore, he may not necessarily know what Paramount may be planning.
Though he doesn't say TF4 hasn't been greenlit - just one doesn't exist 'right now'.
Incorrect. Michael Bay is also a producer on this franchise. He announced he's not continuing as a director on the 4th, but It doesn't mean he's not involved with Transformers anymore. Also, just because the third film is out now doesn't mean his relationship with Hasbro and Paramount has ended till another is confirmed, he probably knows just as much about the future of the movies as Hasbro does.
yeah a 4th and beyond can be greenlit just after a movie is released or before, but they wouldnt start talking about a new actor when they havent started a script/story to decide who the new character would be that theyd need to have play them.
look at pirates of the caribbean, they greenlit a 5th before 4 even came out in theatres
If Bay "supposedly" isn't doing a possible TF4, how can he debunk anything?
I'm glad Jason is not in TF4, if there is a TF4....
And now for a taste of things to come.
