How do you know that most do not want TF 4? Where's your statistics? I'm pretty sure that if anything, the divide is nearly half and half, but I don't claim that the majority of people want one thing over the other.

 

I know, that's why I've highlighted that part   I like all the practical effects from the first three movies (explosions, lensflare lighting etc.).

I don't want to create fights, especially not with you guys, we are all one community. Difference in opinion is good, only as long as there is mutual respect. Say no to fighting, say yes to intelligent debate! My

Thank you. We all just want the next best Transformers story possible, we all share a common interest and that's why we're here. We do need to be civil with one another and I hope to god i never come across as an A** while discussing my viewpoints. There are a lot of things I don't agree with but I'll never go the Ebert route and say "you're stupid for thinking this way" lol

And I take back my early comment about him not having statistics. eagc7, you did conduct a poll but what your saying doesn't add up. The majority favor a 4th film

 

The people on these website are a small portion of the massive Transformers fanbase. Most of the casual fanbase will be excited for a TF4.
So you'll probably find that most people are in favour of TF4 than those that are against. And those that are against it will most likely end up in the cinemas watching it as well.

That's a potential fallacy in itself, isn't it? I'm just wondering though, but there really aren't any statistics supporting this; and even if there were, they would probably be skewed if a good majority on this site doesn't care for voting on a poll.


Also, it's funny, I was just talking about this with a good friend of mine today in French xD

Anyway, I'm interested to see what comes of this...I personally feel Bay will not show he learned from his mistakes in the past sequels. I'm also wondering if the visuals and action will lose its novelty.

While I was hoping for a reboot, I still do like the current movie universe and will support a new film. Besides, the fact that it wouldn't start doing anything until winter 2012 means that the movie itself won't be coming out until like, 2014, so that's a looooong time for Prime to do its thing.

The fact that they wanna mine the lore gets me excited though. Maybe my dreams of a Live-Action Straxus have some hope yet.
