This is a true story. My friend knows the VP of Hasbro personally, and he told him that hasbro made about a four foot screen replica of Movie prime to be used in the movie or anything else, and thousands of dollars were put into this thing, and as soon as Bay saw it, he kicked the head off of it. Entirely true. Since I live in RI, my friend called the VP's wife and said that I am a huge TF fan, and would love an insight into the company, and to meet tha Vp, but she said that he was still dealing with the Bay issue.

How terrible is that. I think the thing cost 250 grand.

So you're saying that the VP of Hasbro, as well as his wife, breaks NDA?

So either Micheal Bay is incredibly strong or that model that was made was incredibly cheap.

Maybe its a little bit of both lol

Are we sure he wasnt a better director for the Hulk with all the Rage we hear about :)

I would be interested into knowing why Bay would decapitate "Movie" Prime. Now I could see if it were G1 Prime possibly (easy now thats a joke) but this just doesnt make any sense. Even if none of this is true its an interesting read none the less :)

Also, somebody needs to photoshop a gif with Bay on Leonidas' head screaming "THIS IS SPARTAH!" and kicking Prime into the pit...like NOW.

Well this is the same guy that had a bit of wine and then talked about how he'd never direct part two because part one wasn't released on Blu-Ray when he wanted it released on Blu-Ray.

Little things like this also make it a bit sad watching the coverage of Comic Con where you have all these directors and creative people coming out and talking about love of the property, their projects being hard because it's a labor of love and they don't want to screw it up, or how they really hope it's something the fans can love while still being something that new people will not be lost on.

Although I'd really love to see Dinobot Nuva's idea of "This is Sparta!". If you can't have love then I'd settle for a nice laugh.

I call bullshit. Why would they build a 4 foot prime for 250 grand when they can make one CGI and look just as real if not more realistic? And even then why would Bay kick the head off if it truely costs 250 grand?

was it used for the first movie or the 2nd movie??

Because according to the DVD commentary of the first one, Michael Bay did get a little upset over the first model of Optimus Prime and then the Japanese artist, Keiji, absolutely FLIPPED after he saw that same model and screamed that it was an insult to the empire of Japan.

It wasn't his arguement that was out of place because with two formats out at the time it was insane to say HD-DVD fans could get it in the best format but Blu-Ray owners were just out luck. The logic was sound. But then to act all childish with I'll quit sort of ruined the whole thing and made him look rather silly.
