    Hey all,

This week sees me go back to one of my all time favourite areas of TF collecting, Mexican Iga G1 variants. I realised I had enough new material and pictures to write another article on this niche collecting favourite thanks to a few decent variants I got my hands on recently.

    Highlights include:

    - Mexican Megatron
    - Mexican Metroplex
    - Another Mexican Smokescreen/Bluestreak hybrid
    - Good old Black 'Policia' Prowl
    - Mexican Ramjet

And a link to last week's article, "Micro Change Series in Italy"

    Cheers for looking :)

It is silly that even Prowl (not just IGA) has T-tops too. Would be tough to use those with a light bar there!

Thank you for sharing...the Mexican versions of G1 Transformers is an interesting topic. I actually have 2 in my collection (Prowl and Bluestreak or should I have Graystreak).

Thank you, I'm actually still looking for a Graystreak myself. They usually turn up in lousy condition.

Thanks man, I didn't really publicise last week's article as it was so similar in topic to the week before it. You can always follow my twitter link in my sig, everything gets posted there :)

    Sorry to disappoint.

Skywarp, Hoist, Prime etc were covered in the first Mex TF article for TFsource, there should be a link to it in the first paragraph of this article.

Fantastic article as ever man :)

You swine! I've never been able to find one, and have been drooling over the article's one! Nice to see some good pics of him though :D

(Completely off-topic: For or against Sky getting the F1?)

Haha cheers man, it was actually really nice. The toy is a total bugger to transform though. Seems once you click Mexican Megatron's head into place in robot mode, you're in for a gut-wrenching battle against destroying it to transform it back. The way it clips in is just mighty.

As for Sky and F1, tooooooooooooootally totally against it. Heartbroken actually.

    :D

I wish I could have kept them, that Metroplex was utterly magnificent.

I hear that, I've pulled a head off a Megs in the past, fortunately none of the nice ones!

I've seen several Mexican Ratchets over the years, none quite in the condition I've wanted him, but Megs has always been an elusive bugger :(  Mexitron and MB Megs are the next two I'm after before seeking out original no fusion cannon Jap Megs.

I'm likewise gutted, been watching F1 as long as I can remember, even remember the BBC only having highlights of some races in the 80's, not looking forward to it again :(
I'm not paying Sky £40 a month however, so internet streams for me!!

I'd love to get MP-Prowl in his Mexican colors. It really does look oh-so-nice in robot mode.

    Wow, what an excellent article.

I find it mind blowing that there are so many different variants of the toys we grew up with and still love today.

    Thanks for posting it :)
