yes it was. back in the first games when she stripped down to a bikini when you beat the game and posed as eye-candy, as well as in pretty much every game since then.
I must admit before I saw the trailer I was concerned it was being made by Team Ninja with their proprietary Boob Engine. Fortunately Samus seems to be able to still fit into her suit. Although I'm wondering about how the gameplay works, the trailer looks cinematic but having not played a Ninja Gaiden game I don't know what to expect or how the controls will work.
Definitely. Especially one that was a sequel to Fusion (I know I already mentioned that earlier in the thread, but I've been waiting years for them to make one). If that game ever gets announced in NP, and I still don't have a new DS, I will drop the magazine and go straight to Target to pick up a DS
Even if it was F'n Wiiware I don't care. I just don't like 3-D games in a franchise that is traditionally 2-D. Oh and yes I have never played ANY of the 3-D Mario games.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii DOES have 3D graphics, yes, but it's classic 2D sidescrolling action. And with Yoshi.
I wasn't one of those people. I don't have a problem with 2-D, 3-D, whatever - but this just looks like another game entirely. If I want to play Ninja Gaiden, I'll just play Ninja Gaiden.
The game concerns me... the trailer didn't show a bit of classic gameplay or exploration, I felt like I was watching a God of War trailer. And I love God of War, but that game is everything Metroid shouldn't be. And seriously, a Metroid game with real time events... ugh.
I think that most of the trailer footage looked like special moves or boss fight sequences. We really haven't gotten an extended shot to see how most of the game will play. With the Metroid Prime Trilogy release in a few months, and Other M next year, it looks like I'll get some long overdue time with the Wii for the next few months.
This game looks 100 times closer to what a Metroid game should be than the Prime series. I only played through those (still on the 3rd) because they were Metroid games. They would have been so much better as 3rd person and I'm thrilled that it finally looks like they're making a Metroid like they should have done years ago. No more FPS crap!
Conceptually I don't like it, as it really does look like they just slapped some Metroid-related imagery onto a new Ninja Gaiden, but if it's half as awesome as a new Ninja Gaiden should be, that certainly isn't going to stop me from playing and enjoying it.
Hopefully Nintendo will FINALLY listen to us fans and include online multiplayer. Metroid Prime Hunters, so far, is the only Metroid game with online multiplayer; it's not fair as well because that game wasn't the best IMO. I mean, it was fun while it lasted but I got pretty bored with it; same thing over and over again during singleplayer and in multiplayer, there's always some hack using mods. Although, one thing I loved most about Prime Hunters is its characters. Sylux and Noxus should be in the game as well, hopefully. Probably not in story mode but if there is an online multiplayer, they should be unlockable characters. Oh and let's not forget Kraid. I've been DYING to see, and battle Kraid, in full-blown 3D......Nintendo.......PLEASE don't let us down this time! It's good that Adam Malkovich is in the game though.
Eh. I'm in the camp that hopes they DO NOT have a multiplayer. Metroid is about exploration, and finally getting to that hard to reach place after hours of trying. Not about being a generic FPS clone. I liked the Prime games, but again, it was the exploring aspect that made them great.
Dude, of course Metroid is about exploration and shoot-em-up action. BUT.....that's what the single player mode is for. They could easily squeeze a Nintendo WFC mode in the same disc. I'm an online multiplayer guy but I do love the single player elements of Metroid as well.
multiplayer metroid isnt metroid. its metroid pretending to be a generic FPS. and this isnt even 100% first person perspective, either. there's no reason it should have any multiplayer functionality. it doesnt make sense for metroid's gameplay style.
