if there is a thread about this i did not see it...

i was at wal-mart today and they had a line by MGA called Legend of Nara "Metomorphs" they look like Beast wars...but they are all bugs... i got the girl she is a black widow and her name is Venox she's a cool beast transformer and look's good next to my beast wars spiders i think this will be a cool line they are $7.97 and about scout size.
there are 4 on the box

    Venox of fire-black widow
    Scarbiton of water -scarib
Vesperus of wind -wasp (i think)
Crytox of earth -cockroach (i think)

A friend of mine picked one up called (and i shit you not) Scarbatron, not scarab but Scarbatron. It is ridiculously poorly made is all i can say, there a part of the Legend of Nara toyline garbage

I ended up getting Vesperus, mainly to have a cheap Vespiform to terrorize the 10th Doctor and Donna with. It's not that bad. The sculpt doesn't seem to know what to do with the limbs and the face is unpainted--which is a shame, since it has a nifty, evil cackling grin. However, the legs do a nice trick to hide inside the abdomen (the spider seems to do the same).

If anything, it's a $7 ball joint goldmine for customizers. Plus all of the limbs look like they're flipping someone off. And the cockroach guy is the Transformer version of Gregor Samsa.

They actually don't look half bad! How's the plastic and joints quality?

on the spider the plastic is as good as hasbro's and the joints quality is good but the arms do pop off if you push hard...but so do transformers

That doesn't seem too bad. Thanks for giving me something to look out for! I've always passed these guys in the aisle, and their packaging looks eye-catching, but I never bothered to actually have a look at them. Maybe if my Beast Wars desperation peaks during my next trip I'll pick one up.

They're not bad looking toys. I'm sure some of the Radicons could make them into some great looking Beast Wars homages or something.

Hmm there doesn't seem to be much information about these out there. Kinda feel tempted to pick some up. Who knows, they might make potential army builders, an phalanx of killer robotic insects.
