    my PS3 just YLOD on me this morning... it was an 80GB fat that came bundled with MGS4, lasted just long enough to die right before I get Rising, le sigh

    going to try the hair dryer trick and grab my saves, the new "Super Slim" PS3 look pretty bad so I'm ebaying for a Slim

    I'd already had one xbox crash and burn. I swore I'd never rebuy another console if it happened again.

    Did anyone confirm if the Gray Fox (Cyborg Ninja) skin DLC with the Gamestop preorder is playable from the beginning of the campaign?
    I know sometimes they don't truly unlock until you have a full playthru first.

    If it's unavailable on the website then it's gone in the stores too.
    Same thing happened with Aliens Colonial Marines. I waited too long.
    I had to go Walmart.com, then do a in store pickup.

    EDIT:
    PS3 version is sold out on Walmart.com. You can check back on Tues & more will probably be instock to do a in-store pickup.
    360 version still available.

    In times like this, i go with the Gamestop preorder. Buy it day one. Save the receipt. Order the special edition from somewhere else. When it arrives, save all the cool special edition stuff, & return the un-opened game back to Gamestop for a full cash refund. That way you still get the Gamestop preorder bonus', still play the game on day one & get your money back.

    That sucks... sucks even more when it happens before the release of a game you've been waiting for. Its a sign that you need to replace your MGS4 PS3 with the Revegeance PS3....

    Picked up my copy of the game this morning, the art book is pretty nice, a welcome addition to my Metal Gear book collection. Will have to wait until this evening before I get the chance to play.

    At least game data, DLC and 1.01 update are installed, so I won't be wasting time downloading those.

    Guy at Gamestop told me that while my DLC code is good, Konami hasn't activated the content yet, so hopefully it goes live soon, though I'll probably wait for a second playthrough to use it.

    Game seems pretty good from the reviews, stil going to wait for a significant price drop first.

    FFFFFFFF, I forgot it was coming out on the 19th... here I was thinking it would be released next week. Ah well, this game will be purchased either way.
