if it IS only $60 if it comes over here, I can deal with having multiple copies of the same games...
I think 100 would be a great cost for that. It would be nice to get some bonuses aside from the cool packaging and uniformity, though.
for Metal Gear Solid...will they be using the PS version or the GC version???
and i wonder why MG and MG: Solid Snake doesnt have the PS2 logo on it.
If you're talking about the first two discs, I think those are both Metal Gear Solid. They're probably the PS1 discs.
According to the original article linked in that one, the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear: Solid Snake are PS2 discs.
i hope they bring over the gc version (twin snakes) on ps2. I love playing it on gamecube but the controller messes with me.
of course ill pay up to 100 for all of that. Hell for convenience' sake just to have em all on one system
I will happily pay $60. Why pay more just because Im not in Japan?
whats the dvd's it mentioned? was there a short run anime?
lawlz. i just bought metal gear solid on ebay for £4.
seems a bit odd to include portable ops in there and not mgs4.
they could probably fit all those games onto a blu ray disc, so if they did that i'd probably go for it. one nice big ass ps3 collection.
the reason no MGS4...cause from the way it's going, i think this'll come out before MGS4
and since MGS4 hasn't come out yet, i dont think its considered as "past 20 years"
I would say I'd be willing to easily spend $60 to $100 on PS2 playable versions of all those games.
just go buy MGS3 Subsistence for $30, and you'll get MG annd MG 2.
All I want is the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear: Solid Snake...I could give a damn about any Metal Gear Solid games.
Take out Portable Ops, and sell if for 50 =3 Then I can see this thing selling like hot cakes.
I will pay whatever Lord Inafune tells me to.
Seeing as how I only own the original Metal Gear for the NES, this would be a nice way for me to catch up with the series. Not that I would buy a PS3 to play MGS4 though.
If this comes out here in the states then I will buy it....no matter the cost. Too bad i just bought portable ops....
This is what I'm thinking - I already have all the games in that set, except for Portable Ops. My OTHER concern is that the versions of MGS2 and MGS3 are not the expanded Substance/Subsistence versions, which are both by far the definitive version of each game. And, no Metal Gear Integral (VR Missions)? Those were a WELCOME addition to the original MGS...maybe they're included on that disc?
In reply to individuals earlier in the thread who asked which version of MGS it would be - it sounds like, in the article, that it is the ORIGINAL Playstation version. I completely support this, as the Gamecube version felt too overdone (mainly in the ridiculous cut scenes).
I would get this set if it came with fully articulated figures of Rex and Ray, and cost the same. Otherwise...I already have everything in the set (save Portable Ops). I love the packaging...but it's not worth $60.
Hmmm, $50-60 would be just right for me...$100 seems a tad steep for me and I've rather spend $100 on other stuff.
