Its almost as if hastak was thinking of bashers when they made some of their firgures.

the tape is the key for gestalts. Start with a lot of it, and narrow that down each round. eventually, there's no tape and only a gestalt.

Yes, in the pictue "Sample of joint built" - I layered 5 sheets of 4mil styrene about ¾" x ¾", then sanded the edges, then built another part (the top) about 1¼" x 1¼" which was routed to give it the 45º beveled edge.
the beveled end goes into the harness (black part on the prime figure) and snaps into it. I reinforced the knob joint with screws...a must for gestalts which will be pulled apart a ton.

Update on the feet/ankles - these are turning out quite well, I mounted a base with a large socket in the foot. a balled piece sticks out of that which has a plastic peg which clips onto the bottom of the 2 leg stunticons. This will allow 360º rotation and articulation of the feet, so that when a leg is outwards, the foot can stay level with where he is standing, or if a leg is posed back, the toe of the foot can articulate and move upwards. This will ensure the foot's bottom is always flat where he is standing.
