Just to share some of my upcoming projects. Menasor's build will be using the same components of Mike's creation. But that's where I'm trying to divert away from the commonly taken route. Some brief features of Menasor. - Unicron's arms - G1 arrangement for the legs - Scratch built feet modelled after Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. I figured that Menasor's feet was going to be a big issue with my version after working on the Menasor collab with Daniel. That's why I am scratch building it with Apoxie Sculpt. Just at the preliminary stages of the feet. Taking shape. Will share more pics once done. 9th January 2011 Finally! The feet are almost done. Just left the sanding to smoothen out any rough edges. Breakdown and Wildrider will fit snugly and firmly into the scratch feet. Simple design yes, but it will serve the purpose well. Preview of Menasor.
Oh..It was part of the client's specs. Big, bulky and hulky. The customer's always right, right? That's what they pay big bucks for. heehehe!
Yeah, Unicron arms would be WAY too huge, but if it's what the client asked for then i guess that's his choice. Are you sure he didn't mean that he wanted those for combiner-arms?
I think he thought you would put the Unicron arms on MM, so was wondering if you meant to put them on Menasor instead. Obviously, most of us got that they were for Menasor. I can't wait to see this done, should be even more awesome in your metallics.
looking good. i like that you're doing the legs G1 style it's something different. and with your colors its going to be awesome. darn i need to learn how to start doing combiners.
I know it's more G1 that way well at least for the toy resemblance, but I'll prefer 180degrees... Good-job nonetheless!
Hahha. Dun worry. Personal preference. Took me heck a lot of time to figure out the engineering for this one though. And...did anyone notice the re-arrangement at unicron's arms?
looks awesome so far. can't wait to see this finished, especially with your paint apps. i also noticed you had some uni-feet in the background. i found that if you have make a straight horizontal cut at the bottom to make them level, they end up looking really good a la' g1. takes the whole gnarled toe look completely away and makes for a good looking gestalt foot. cheers and good luck.
