And even going so far as to not sink to Megatron's level when he has the opportunity to end it all, instead simply destroying Megatron's Fusion Cannon and ultimately placing him under arrest saying "That's the easy way out, Megatron. You DON'T deserve it."

But my choice would be Optimus VS. Galvatron at the end of Cybertron. The slugfest which not only ended the show but the entire Unicron Trilogy. And right when it's Game Over for Prime he gets some divine intervention from Vector Prime in the form of his sword which finally puts the Emperor Of Destruction down once and for all.

 

Nope there's an old marvel comic story which was G1 Galvatron v G1 Megatron, which only ceased after Megs asked future Galvatron what he had done with Starscream, and when told, just laughed maniacally.

 

That sounds brilliant. I was hoping this thread would bring out some interesting stuff from the comics like that.

A lot of good examples here, and I agree with all of them. Depth Charge VS Rampage, the final battles between Prime and Megs in Animated and Armada, Starscream vs Galvatron... lots of good stuff.

I really liked Bumblebee's backwards charge on a tow truck against Brawl in the first Transformers. Not surehow much it counts, since Mikaela was technically driving, but since Bumblebee and Brawl were the only ones shooting, I'll just mention it. It was really unique, fast-paced, and intense, and I'm not sure if anything quite like it had been done before or since.

Bumblebee VS Bisque in Transformers: Robots in Disguise, "Bumblebee's Day Off". It's just such silly fun, with Bumblebee getting to perform on stage with his favorite band and bringing in a Decepticon at the same time.

Optimus Prime VS Megatron at the end of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Two ancient enemies battling together on a ship that's collapsing and falling apart around them, spewing such epic lines as "You were a records clerk when I found you! You will be DUST once I'm through with you!" Just an immensely climactic ending to a fantastic ride of a video game.

Cheetor VS Waspinator in Beast Wars Part 1. A short, but simple way of not only introducing us to transformations and battle, but also old catchphrases.

Bruticus VS Devastator from Starscream's Brigade. It's Megatron's forces against Starscream's, with leadership of the Decepticons at stake. Tired of this, Megatron orders the Constructicons combine into the mightiest of Decepticons, Devastator! However, Starscream has prepared for this, and instructs his Combaticons to merge into their own combined form. Bruticus lays Devastator out with a few punches, and has won leadership of the Decepticons for Starscream!

Ratchet VS Megatron in Transformers: Prime, "Faster, Better, Stronger". Ratchet is pumped full of Synthetic Energon, and goes to finish Megatron off for good. Megatron is unimpressed. Then Ratchet punches Megatron across a room. Megatron's response? "Alright, then." and then he manages to defeat Ratchet, who at that point had been unstoppable thanks to Synthetic Energon.

Arcee VS Starscream in "Partners". After carelessly revealing that he had slain Cliffjumper, Arcee insists on him freeing himself so she can take him out in a fair fight. Starscream employs his underhanded, sneaky nature, but ultimately, his ego proves to be his downfall, and Arcee delivers a very satisfying beatdown to him, and very nearly finishes him off.

Optimus Prime VS Megatron in Transformers: Prime, "One Shall Fall". Megatron has injured an innocent, albeit unintentionally, and then bragged about it to Prime's face when he found out. Optimus has decided that he is done giving Megatron second chances, and challenges him to a one-on-one fight. From there on, it's Prime VS Megatron unleashing all their power and rage on each other, and just when it looks like Prime's about to win, the Dark Energon around him gives Megatron a villainous second wind, and the episode ends with Megatron prepared to end Optimus Prime once and for all.

Wow that's awesome. I've never been hot on the idea of having Megatron and Galvatron running around at the same time but this shows it can be done so interestingly and recently I started watching Beast Wars Neo and that's got a kind of Megatron in the form of Megastorm co-leading with a Galvatron and I'm really enjoying that aspect of the series.

 

At the moment I'm loving the Combiners Wars newest episode with Megatron vs Optimus.

That wasn't too bad, it was mainly the trash talk that I liked about it though.

When Prime Transforms and you can hear his tires skidding as it happens, that sound effect is pretty memorable for me also the fatal blow he delivers to Bonecrushers neck just looks amazing and he totally had it coming after taking out a bus that was full of what? School kids? Pensioners on their way to the casino? A rugby team? I shudder to think.
