I just got off the phone with Yamato USA, it seems that the shoulder joint falling apart is a common problem, and they are sending out replacements. The rep that I talked to said that the 2nd version (military style) has improved shoulder joint, and that's what they'll be sending me.

So if you have a Garland figure, I'd suggest you looking into the should joint problem.

P.S. both shoulders on my Garland simply crumbled to pieces.

How? Unless you're forcing them, I don't see how you could break them.

As Matrix Soul said, that problem is REALLY common. I dont have one myself but through out most forums I went to at the release date all of them seem to have people complaining about that particular piece. Maybe your one is a lucky one and not as prone to breaking. I've heard even the replacements break after a few days use.

When I called up Yamato today, I barely got to say "I've purchased a Garland figure..." before he interrupted me with "The shoulder joint's broken right?" Unless he can read my mind over the phone, I'd say that's a common problem.

That puppy's staying in bike mode after it's fixed then

Does anyone have pics of this? I don't have one but I was thinking of picking one up; it'd be good to know what to look out for.

Don't bother, not worth the hassle, there is a MAX version being made, it has diecast and it is transformable, only thing is that it's smaller. The Yamato version is 1/15, and the MAX version is 1/20

I wonder if transformation will be identical?

I don't see how else they can do it, perhaps a more simplified version, but it's a pretty straight forward design.
