    I agree with the reason they went with Weaving instead for the first one. It suits the character better.

    Not just he fits the new Megatron just fine, there's also the fact that ANY kind of voice-changing sucks, I hate when that happens.

    It is getting to where it doesn't matter to me anymore if it is Welker or Weaving.

    Since Hugo Weaving did the first, he should do the second. However there were lots of characters other than Megatron whose G1 voice was Frank Welker.... Soundwave, Superion, Laserbeak, Galvatron, etc. If Welker gets some of these, I'd be happy.

    With as much electronically induced vocoding it wouldn't matter if it was Meg Ryan doing it. There is no voice recognition whatsoever in the first one so what does it matter. Perhaps if Leonard Nimoy with little or no vocoding would stir a bit more interest, otherwise this a well beaten,dead horse's skeleton.

    welker was great in his day, but I really prefer Hugo's take on megatron. Also for consistency's sake. I hate inconsistencies between sequels and originals.
