I was watching several episodes of G1 and the heroic battle between Prime and Megatron. We all know that Megatron can detach his arm Canon. My question is how the fusion canon is connected to Megatron's forearm ? Is it electromagnetic ? or otherwise?
I say it is electromagnetic. What do you think ?

Duct Tape. The Decepticons were in far worse shape than they indicated.

Same as most toys: a peg and a hole.

It clings to his arm by the sheer force of Megatron's charisma.

Didn't another TF take the arm cannon and attach it to himself at some point in G1 that I can't precisely remember right now? Magnetic attachment I'd guess.

But how did he fire it? Bluetooth?

It stays on out of fear. Megatron is such a bad@$$, that his own arm cannon is too afraid of him to disobey. It falls off ( like in the movie ) because the force of the impact knocks the cannon out and it is unable to hold on. It begs for forgiveness when Megs puts it back on.

    Megatron's Canon?

I didn't know Megatron was a photographer. :p  I wonder if he got the A640.

I believe you're referring to Brawn. How he fired it though -- the power of bad writing!!!

Prime used it in the final issue of the first volume of TF versus GiJoe.
He attached it to his own arm and fired it.
It was all wires and sgtuff if memroy serves.

How convenient. Prime and Megatron both share the same hook-ups on their right arms. They've got Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo beat.

This gave me an idea..what if his arm cannon is itself a transformer? It actually does hold on to him with hidden limbs. What would it's bot mode look like?

On second thought...that's a horrible idea.

He actually used it as a bazooka type weapon. It was in Fire In The Sky, in Season 1, I know that much. A couple of Autobots got shot up by the thing in the episode also, which only furthers the debate about Megs killing Brawn among others in the Movie.

Yup, Brawn was the only G1 TF besides Megatron that used the fusion canon but he used it as a bazooka...didn't attached it to his arm. By the Iacon, where did you get that pix of Megatron in your sig?
