Yeah Megatron became a deep character who simply wanted to save his race and while he did it maybe rule a little, jeez its not to much to ask....lol.

Loved the heart of darkness/final stage in Meg's character development.

He really wasn't much different from Bay-verse Optimus in the end.

 

P.S. what are you guys talking about - your idea is alrwady official canon, the fans will always be better writers than.........well the writers...............why?

B/c we will work on a draft of something for ten years until it's perfect for everyone, no plot holes.

This works!! They hid it from starscteam coz he'd snitch to the fallen.. who'd lose his shit if he knew they'd revive a prime with the matrix he sought. Sentinel kills fallen after sun is gone... use human slave labour force, megs isn't fallens bitch anymore . It writes itself! Almost like they intended this

my theory is that:

-the sun harvester was made on earth but the fallen lost the key to his brothers and used megs to get the allspark be cause the allspark can find the matrix since the matrix was made from it.
-sentinal made that deal with megs.
-your part about how megs was going to betray the fallen sounds right.
-allspark is sent into space by bumblebee and goes to earth because that is where the matrix is.
-megs goes after the allspark to raise a new army (stated by ratchet in TFTM '07) and to use the allspark to find the matrix.
-then the fallen was to arrive, only to find sentinal revived by a defiant megatron.
-prime and megs kill the fallen (since only a prime can kill the fallen, megs needed sentinal which is why he accepted sentinals agreement) take our suns energy, and rescorces (oil metal... ect)
-transport them to cybertron via pillars(needed sentinal to control the pillars)
-and use megatrons newly activated army (by the allspark) to rebuild cybertron.
-after all the rescorces were transported, megs was going to kill sentinal and rebuild cybertron in his image.
-when finish, he would have moved on to conquer the ....(galaxy, universe, whatever)

ALL HAIL MEGATRON!!!!!!!!

Its a very good theory. It makes sense. It wouldve been interesting if Megatron explained his intentions to Optimus right before Optimus kills him. It would've wrapped up the trilogy a little better.

The Seekers have been trying to look for the Matrix. Its so hush-hush secret the Autobots did not know about it. But Wheelie knows... And he worked for Soundwave.

Jetfire believe the Fallen was an asshole that abandoned them. What if Soundwave did a little "creative accounting" of his own. These guys are listed off as dead. Hampering their efforts. And having little spies like Wheelie track them down so they wouldn't get in the way of the plan.

Bee didn't launch the Allspark. In various depictions it was Optimus' call. Bumblebee losing his voice while stalling Megatron with a distraction.

 

o. well the one i remember is where BB lauched it into spaces after OP said so via radio. megs was r right behind bee but was to late to catch the allsark. he crushed bees voice out of anger and then went to pursue the allspark. but thats just what i remember.

 

No Bumblebee and his team were decoys. They were meant to distract the Decepticons while Optimus launched the Allspark elsewhere.

I like this explanation. The only thing I would quibble with is I think Megatron though SP was dead too, which is why he just tried to get the Allspark himself in the first movie and then when that failed, he decided to just go along with the Fallen and play it from there. Then, with the Fallen killed and the matrix found, he figured he could go back to Plan A with Sentinel.

Also, supposedly in the third movie it is said that the Deceps have been planning this for 50 years, etc. We never do see Starscream, Barricade, Brawl, etc. all arrive on earth (one Transformer is on Mars at some point) so maybe SS was trying to carry out Megatron's plan until Megatron could be found (this is presuming Megatron let Starscream in on his plan after the apparent death of SP).

Also, it seems plausible that Sector 7 and other human agencies would have no communication at all.

I know all this is different in the comics and that I'm sure the writers didn't really care about any of this, but it is fun to think about!

 

Mearing said she herself didn't know until then. The director of Sector 7 kept it classified. This along with those in the archives with Cybertronian script and the Seekers.

It seems Soundwave was never able to penetrate Sector 7.

It seems chasing the Allspark alone was hardly a plan right? And Megatron being Number 2 to the Fallen doesn't fit him right? Nobody commands the Decepticons but him right?

Thing is Megatron had a Plan. But it all went to The Pit thanks to Luck or Fate.

It all fits!

For one thing Megatron knew where the Allspark is going to crash because Sentinel Prime told him as he defected.


The Ark with its sophisticated sensors knew where it was headed. Megatron went ahead to take it. Or Sentinel arranged its trajectory towards Earth.

But wait what about the Fallen and Sentinel Prime? The Fallen wanted every bot named Prime dead. Here's the thing Megatron had Sentinel Prime's death faked!

Megatron wanted to use Sentinel Prime to kill the Fallen. Consolidate his leadership on both factions by killing the Decepticon founder and having support of the Autobot founder.

They were supposed to rendezvous on Earth but Megatron got iced. Unfortunately the Space Bridge used after the escape malfunctioned brought the Ark at the wrong time or space. Or the Ark was too damaged to make it in time.

With Sentinel in stasis he never got a wake up call and the Ark eventually plowed on the moon.

Soundwave and Laserbeak, tracking the Ark, who were in the know of Megatron's plan hid a sizable army on the moon keeping it secret from the Fallen and Starscream. This fleet were reported as looking for the Allspark elsewhere in the galaxy. Organized raiding the Ark of the Space Bridge pillars on the Moon and waited for Megatron's return setting up human agents around Earth.
