In a Toyfare article on their website, Wizard lists the 50 greatest fictional weapons, and as the title says, the most badass mass-shifter in the universe ranks in at #16

"Wait, how is a badass robot a weapon? Because Megatron has the power of illogical size-changing, which means that his laser-blasting pistol mode can be wielded by puny humans and giant robots! So which part of him is the trigger? We’d rather not know."

Personally, I think He should have ranked higher, especially with He-Man's sword at #2, and the Green Lantern's ring at #1. Anyway, you can check out the article here.

I'd put GL's ring above Megatron, easily.

I'd have put The Mask very high on the list as the wearer is indestructible. But this IS Wizard, so the probably have a pop culture memory span of about 2 years.

Woohoo, glad proton packs made it. :)  But He-Man's sword as number 2? Boooooo. :p

Lists like these are always amusing in their arbitrariness... but fun to read nonetheless!

Yeah, it's all pretty random. I would, however, love to see He-Man and Megatron battle to the death. "By the power of grey...what in the name of Skeletor are you? No...please...take my sword...take my tiger, just don't kill me and burn me for fuel, I'm begging you oh great, metal god."

    Yeah, that'd be nice.

It was a feature in the newsletter email I got tonight. I hadn't seen it previously, so I assumed it was new.

Wait.. so lightsabers get 2 entries(13 and 4), he-man's sword that turns you into a giant walking gay joke is ranked above mjolnir, #35 surprised me(especially since I was talking to a co-worker about this on Monday), at least Green Lantern's ring is #1 as it should be.

I'm still not sure wth megatron is on that list... frankly, I think shockwave is better(seeing as how he can nuke something, as well as microwave hotpockets).

Why is He-Man's sword always ranked so high on lists like these?? I've always thought Lion-O's sword had more power.

I wanted the proton pack to be higher on the list, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the Saint of Killers' guns in the top ten.

I was starting to think I was the only one who read Preacher.

Does Shockwave have the ability to warm the hotpocket without the cheese becoming so hot the roof of my mouth melts away? My microwave from the 80s sure as hell couldn't.

You... you can't kill the devil!

I'm reading Wolverine Origins right now, and I can't help but read Logan's lines as Jesse. (I'm not the only one who imagines voices, am I? Captain America sounds like Patrick Warburton!)

The Ultimate Nullifier should be #1, not 27.

GL's ring, truly the most powerful weapon in the universe, ranked as it should be.

Now if only the toons and games reflected that. So far only the Rayner run has really shown how much oomph that ring truly has. Hal FTL. Give the ring back to an artist.
