The way I saw Megatron was someone who just wanted his home restored, regardless of the cost. He wanted a place to rule, but a place that was familiar to him.

Satan is just chaos and has no care or goal but to cause enmity between man and God. He has but one purpose: destruction.

To be honest, I find myself almost sympathetic with Megatron, in many series. I don't agree with the killing of innocent lives, but I see where his heart is at. He thinks he is doing the right thing, but he's going about it the wrong way.

 

If movie verse Megatron was Stan. Then he wouldn't have been easily defeated in each movie.

 

^ This... Anyone who compares Megatron to Satan is beyond crazy. Megatron may be evil, but he is not Satan evil, Satan is beyond the realm of just being an evil being.

The writing in DotM, or any other TF film, just never evoked any such comparison in my mind. Because "the Devil" in most fiction is portrayed as an inexorable force of evil against mankind, yet cowers in the face of holy might.

I don't recall seeing Megatron cower from Optimus in any film, and at no time did I ever feel he was some all-powerful evil force that was going to doom mankind, because it's kind of a given he's going to get his butt kicked...
