I think he'll be just Megatron. Bay missed his chance to use Galvatron in ROTF.

 

He need some new parts.

 

I want to see Megatron lead a new army, and I want to see T3 focus more on him and the Decepticons instead of Prime and the Autobots. I want to see way more Megatron/Starscream/Soundwave air time and I want to see less of Bumblebee this time round.

 

How about in his glorious brawl with Starscream to definitively decide command, he wins but comes out so gravely injured that...

 

why does he need to change his name? I never really understood that. It's like if I were to tear an old shirt and buy a new one should I change my name to bob because I have a new shirt? No Megatron's name changing never made any sence, so no he should just get repaired end of story.

I dunno. I would like to see Galvatron (sp?) but, we'll have to see when 2011 rolls around.

 

Galvatron could be a separate character that has nothing to do with Megatron because this movies are not aimed at the nerds who want everything like the cartoon universe were Megs = Galvatron.

 

I think the changes are a little more than that. If you just changed your shirt, no you shouldn't change your name. But if you were to get a face lift and have your whole body plastic surgery'd so that you look nothing like your original self to the point where even your personality changes, yeah, that might be grounds for a name change.

Having said that, I think Megs for TF3, but I'd like to see him actually take an Earth alt mode. Maybe a tank or something.

 

Exactly, and since he came back from the dead in this one it doesn't fit logically that he would be renamed and reconfigured into another robot when all he needs is some parts.

He should still return as Megs, but with a Galvatron new armor body, with a nasty attitude.

 

i hope that since he was pretty F*cked up at the end of rotf he get rebuilt/reformated into galvatron but make him sick and insane like the g1 days, have him fight and kill his own kind for not doing what he wishes!

 

they kinda already did the Galvatron thing when they resurrected him. but the film makers decided not to call him Galvatron so people wouldn't get confused.

 

It would be a nice g1 reference, but I would prefer to just have regular megatron in TF3.

Besides, in the comic (which I know doesn't count for shit), they had him in the Nemesis activating the Decepticon protoforms.

 

Well he was able to fly back to Nemesis (I presume) after ROTF, so he can't be as badly beaten as in G1. He will need some heavy repairs, but hopefully they'll keep him as Megs. Then again, Bay could go the whole hog and have Megs as the main threat and rebirth him as Galvatron. I don't know, I'm completely torn  

 

I agree. I want Megatron to remain the same.
