    As I've been playing Star Fox 64, when I got to the final area where Andross is, his voice is suddenly very familiar to me...

    It sounds like Megatron. Specifically, Armada Megatron, voiced by David Kaye.

    Here's some voice clips so you can hear for yourself. A little warning; the site suffers some slow down from time to time, but it usually resumes normal download speed.

    UPDATE: Thanks for the posts, guys - Sorry for the confusion!

    I checked IMDB, WIKI and his Website. I can't find anywhere that says he worked on Starfox.

    I don't think that's David Kaye.

    Star Fox 64 (and most Nintendo 64 games) have some really bad voice-acting by actors who seem to have no prior (or further) role in voice overs. I realize David Kaye wasn't exactly Sean Connery, but he was nonetheless an established voice actor in the 90s. I think such voice over was beneath him.

    Also, Andross' voice has so much processing, it really could be anybody. If Nintendo had put up some of Andross' raw voice work, we might judge better. At the moment, the processing used could make anybody sound like Kaye's Megatron. To me, Andross' voice filtering sounds more like Apocalypse from the 90s X-Men show than Megatron, but it really doesn't matter what he sounds like, because of the processing.

    I might be wrong, of course. My post was just my guess and an explanation for my guess. For all I know, David Kaye did that role under a pseudonym. But I don't think it's him.

    Hm... My apologies then. :/ But oh well, it's still a very Megatron-ish voice. He even has a similar ego. XD

    I see...

    You know, a possibility is that he's using an alias. I've seen/read that VA's do this sometimes, Wikipedia explains why. I'm not saying it's true, but just possible. ^^;
