Has anybody noticed that in ROTF, Megatron belows, growls and snarls like a wild beast/animal?

Not exactly what you might hear from a typical robot. But then again Megatron is'nt a typical robot. :inquisiti

    I liked it.

In Transformers 1 they had so much processing going on in Hugo Weaving's performance that anyone could have played Megatron and it would have sounded exactly the same.
In Transformers 2 they took some of the effects off his voice so Weaving's performance was not lost, but they conveyed his monstrous nature with monstrous growls.
It was a good way to go, I think.

In the first movie, the producers said they wanted the Cons to look "less human", so maybe the growls, along with Starscream's spitting, it part of that?

He does it in TF1 too.

Plus Bay DID say that the inspiration for the character's feel was Jurassic Park's t-rex.

He is a brutal warrior and tyrant who instills fear and suffering on his enemies and is utterly ruthless to anyone who opposes him. He's not as tactically cunning as previous Megatrons and seems to rely much more on pure brute force and overwhelming power to accomplish his goals.

But at the same time, he's not completely unintelligent, he just lets his savage side consume him in battle. When he wants to be he can be very eloquent and sophisticated, but in a fight he's a monster and doesn't hide it in the least.

I'm not a big fan of the snarling and the growling, because every time they put a snarl or a growl in it makes me think he could have been saying something there instead. I'd rather hear Megatron speak than growl like a lion.

    More dialogue please.

But in all scenes where he growls he says something afterwards anyway.

It's more like his way of saying "hhmmmmm" and other grunts than anything.

I liked it. Gave the character more of a feel and look that it was a real monsterous robot.
Just like Ironhide, where you see him snorting at Demolishor, just made them feel more alive.

I didn't think it was necessary, but I don't mind it either. The only part I didn't like was in the first film-when he comes up through the floor in the abandoned building while chasing Sam-He practically barks!

"Rargh! I growly monster! Gronk! Fear me scary animal ways! Haroo!"

I dunno - I'd prefer far less animal noises from the bad guys. Makes them seem a bit simple-minded and inarticulate. Yelling sure, but not anything that makes me wanna throw the characters kibble and offer them a free flea dip.

It's more like a clicking sound that accompanies his vocal sounds, The Fallen has it too but Fallen's is less dinosaur sounding, more like a old door opening that does TEKTETEKTEKTEK.

P.S. Keep in mind that most sounds Decepticons do are cybertronian speech and not actual barking.
