Its funny all through the DOTM Megatron didnt even say or even. acknowledged him at all during the film. Do you all think he knew he was on Earth.? if so why didnt he rendezvous with him.? Would of been a good scene if Shockwave was at the tower with megatron and Sentinel prime also the scene when he orders the ships to fire on Prime he should of shouted Shockwave i need help or Megatron.?
Megatron was perched on top of a tall building with Sentinel. Shockwave was at ground-level. He obviously had a bone to pick with Optimus and was too focused on tracking him down, hoping to take care of him, first.
Megatron was aware of Shockwave's presence on earth as I believe he was the one who rescued him. It seemed to me that Sentinel and Megatron were the leaders whilst Starscream commanded the air and Soundwave commanded the ground. Shockwave appeared to be a lone wolf. After Soundwave, Barricade and Starscream were dead, I think Shockwave was basically commander of the Decepticons at that point considering Sentinel was just sitting up on the tower trash talking and Megatron was sulking on a pile of junk. When Optimus swooped in to begin his rage run, Shockwave is the huge Decepticon standing at the back, the final line of defence before Sentinel. What confuses me is how did Sentinel and Megatron even get onto the tower? But meh. And when Sentinel calls for the Decepticons aid, there are basically only the air forces and a few protoforms left on the ground, and the Clovercon. Shockwave was dead at that point and I think Carly had already convinced Megatron to attack Sentinel.
In the game, Megatron "unfreezes" Shockwave and frees him from his cryo chamber. Then Shockwave meets up with Megatron, Soundwave and Starscream in Africa, where Megatron tells him to retrieve the fuel rod in Chernobyl. Megatron was aware of Shockwave being on Earth, they just didn't make it so clear in the movie than they did in the game.
Megatron and shockwave never talk each other, because megatron forgot cybertronian and shockwave didn't speak english.
Except when Megatron DOES talk in Cybertronian, which is frequently in all three movies, and Shockwave calls Prime by name in English.
the decepticons together get very limited dialogue together. Some of the best lines are with megatron soundwave starscream and laserbeak, and then again with megatron and sentinel. The interesting thing is optimus does not even mention megatron's name in films 2 and 3
Too bad they all get offed in anti-climatic ways. Now imagine real proper deaths that give satisfying closure.
Megatron knows Shockwave is on earth, if it wasnt because of Megatron, SHockwave would had been kept in stasis lock on the russians facility in siberia
"Shockwave, destroy the Autobots! Do not fail me!" "DJILDI FDDOJW; JDDHLFHGHOIO". Driller-Bot proceeds to fly out of the ground and fail miserably.
Re: Shockwave speaking English, DVD subtitles gave him a second line, as he's ordering the Driller to take down the skyscraper. "driller-bot is thirsty!" Which makes no sense I chalk it up to Subtitles-guy accidentally hearing something in what's supposed to be Cybertronian gibberish.
Megatron didn't want to remind Shockwave about the significant amount of money he borrowed from Shockwave all those years ago.
"Yo Shockwave! It's me, Megatron! Remember me?!? Wanna go kick some Autobot arse?!? Loljks I'm too weak".
