It was NOT literal. Prime also, in ROTF, said to The Fallen ''They were your brothers too''. It was in a sense like college frat brothers, or more so, brothers of war.

And I answered it. They are NOT brothers in a literal sense. It's like when Sentinel ''What you don't realize my autobot BROTHERS...'', its NOT like brother, but war brother, brothers of the same species. Its actually not that hard to understand guys, no offence

But as usual the Decepticons wanted power and wanted the Planet to themselves and what a better way to claim it by vanquishing the Autobots and then restoring peace through tyranny

The thing is, Megatron, and I'm going by the official canon book Exodus. Only wanted the cybertronians to ALL have the freedom to do what they wanted, and not be ruled by a certain sect. When Megatron was on trial, Orion Pax stood up and spoke for him, and when he mentioned that they should select a new Prime, the counsel took that as a request for himself to be prime, and this pissed off Megatron. He believed he was betrayed by Pax, a person who he claimed as a brother (once again, not literal) and this sparked the feud that lasted millions of years.

Its an excellent book, I suggest it.

    No, you offered your opinion.

Not that I disagree with it, but no defintive answer was ever really given in the films.

It is a good book, but its continuity specific.

It contains no info relevant to the films.

I never claimed there was any "proof" for either case, you did that when you made the statement of fact that they werent siblings in any way.

So the question falls to you not I......what is the supposed reasoning that proves that they ARE NOT siblings of some kind?

As for the reasons to consider they might be siblings of some kind, the dialog itself suggest the possibility.

regardless of what I [or you] might believe, no definitive answer was given within the narrative of the films..

The Fallen: ''Die like your brothers! ''
Optimus Prime: ''They were your brothers too!''

Once again, NOT literal. What more has to be shown....seriously.

It does NOT mean they are all brother. Autobot brothers, WAR brothers. But I assume this is suppose to be opinion. And people can view it how they want. So, I guess Neo and Agent smith are brother, Voldemort and Harry are as well, Sauron and Frodo are I guess....:Z They are enemies, once friends, nothing more, nothing less

Once again your making statements of facts that you cant back up with the info from the film.

You claim its not literal as a fact but nothing in the film proves it wasnt literal in some way.

thats 1 way of seeing it.

And its not that I disagree with the view, but its only 1 view not the defintive one.

Based on the dialog alone either senerio is possibile.

It is an opinion because the films never revealed the answer to the issue defintivly.

If you could prove that 100% you would have by now

    *sigh*
Did nobody read the prequel comics?
They were practically "brothers" (as stated in Foundation), but like twiztidRodimus said: not in the literal sense. They "grew up" (so to speak) together as Sentinel's students/followers.

That's like saying that all Humans are brothers; it doesn't mean much.
