I recently got the ROTF Movie Universe hardcover book and it says Megatron is a triple changer. he would transform into his tank mode and also his Cybertronian jet mode seen in movie 1.
I figured this after realizing... "Hey, why should he lose his jet mode? He is only getting parts added. Maybe he is a Triple Changer." There are plenty of Triple Changers in this movie (seems that we didn't have to wait until 3 to see them )
They are jumping right into triple changing on top of combining..... And they had to "dumb down" the Transformers Universe for the casual moviegoer?????
So... this essentially makes the new ROTF Leader toy useless then. If he is technically a triple-changer in the new movie, then I technically want the (Leader) toy to reflect that.
This is the problem I have with some of the movie designs. They cheat. It doesn't look remotely possible to change between these modes without disappearing some parts and mass-shifting others. If it's not possible in three dimensions, any toy can only be a compromise. The voyager toy looks like it attempts to represent both modes, and I think they did a great job anyway. But naturally enough it's not even close.
I think it's a lame excuse for "Hey we can see your head!" Megatron: "All the more easier to run you over, fleshlings!"
Uh huh, riiiight. And he's trying to rip off Animated Blitzwing by having tank treads for the legs and still turning into a jet?
I just want to say something. I think it would be cool if it were so but this doesnt look like its for real. I do photoshop work all the time and the background, text and pictures would be very easy to put together. Look at the captions for the different parts of megs tank mode some dont point to the right stuff. Just saying.
Sorry I sit corrected it is from the Eye witness books and as usual they did a bad job with it. Sorry...
It's just a strange way of referring to to him having two alternate modes in the films... but I am crossing my fingers he is a triple changer.
