Anyone remember this cartoon? Shortlived, and I almost forgot it existed until a random image of Megas popped into my head and I went on a quest to find episodes. Unfortunately, there are no DVDs, at least not official ones, but these guys gave a lot of nods to Transformers, including pitting Welker and Cullen against eachother in the show, and an appearance by Unicron and The Matrix.

I loved this show but I never caught the last season.

And I heard it was really good too.

The show was full of all types of pop culture 80s references seeing as it was made to be just a giant nod to all things awesome.

Though I'm surprised there hasn't been any type of DVD release yet, this is a series that would sell out quickly if they had a full series set. It's definitely a cult hit despite not being marketable enough for the CN execs.

I was just talking to one of the creators the other day. He's currently working with Mark Waid on an anime called 5 killers. As well as writing the occasional episode of the clone wars. Interesting fact, the character Goat (guy from the junkyard) is an actual person and did his own voice. He was also a character on MtV's Downtown. Also called Goat and voiced by the same person.

Wow, sweet connections you got there.

I wish this show could get a revival. If anything could do it it would be DVD sales.

The show started to air here a few weeks ago. Have seen the first episode and recently some bits of another episode. Seemed strange but interesting.

The character Kiva was awesome. Coolest redhead in cartoons.

Again, I'd instantly buy a DVD of the series. I've missed so much of it.

Don't know them by name, but I'll post it when I get home and check. I know for sure the Matrix was one where they have to repair Megas, and when they open him up, the Matrix is the heart of the robot. Uncanny resemblance.

To put up with those two, she had to be awesome, heheh. I love the animation that shows how Coup learned how to control the robot so well.

I watched a few episodes here and there and thought it was OK, but nothing really special. Like a lot of things, I think the show was trying too hard to be "awesome" and throw in a bunch of references to other things, and the stories suffered for it. Plus, the lead character (blonde guy...Coop?) annoyed the hell out of me.

That said, I'd probably pick up a DVD release, if it ever came out.

I loved the future "evil" Kiva. I wished we could see an episode where she got redemmed tho.

You think they were pushing for the Kiva/Jamie pairing in the original timeline?

They'd love to put out a Dvd, but it's up to the head honchoes over at cartoon network. They are told it's been doing pretty well on x-box live and itunes, so who knows.

It wasn't bad, but not nearly as good as some make it out to be.
