To clarify I'm actually referring to her character. I'm just going to call her by her real name because it's easier to spell and I know I'm going to get it wrong if I even try to say Makayla. That being said, I notice in the trailer for Dark of the Moon that Sam was telling Carly that "nothing bad is going to happen to you" and the way he said it made me think about how they're getting rid of Megan Fox. I know the real life reason but it's kinda up in the air about how they're going to cover the loss of her character. Originally I thought the new actress was going to play that part but she is actually a new character. The other way I thought they might take it is either to completely ignore the fact or toss in a throw away line about them breaking up for no apparent reason like they did with Bumblebee's voice not working in ROTF. I mean this is a Micheal Bay movie after all, like he really cares about plot. "Micheal Bay: What's a plot? Does it have explosions?" But the way Sam was speaking in the Trailer. What if Megan Fox had been killed by the Decepticons and this movie is taking place some years after her death. Sam meets Carly during the movie and at first doesn't want anything to do with her because he's afraid the Decepticons will kill her too but actually really likes her. By the end of the movie she has Sam convinced that weather he wants her around or not she's there to stay. This would actually be a really good way to both write out Megan Fox and introduce Carly if they are actually taking it in this direction. So what do you think? Will there actually be an in story reason for the new girl or will she be thrown in there like Megan Fox never even existed. Again, non of this has to do with the real life Megan Fox but just her character so no commenting about real life stuff. This topic is about story, that is all.

I don't care how Mikaela is disposed of, I'm just happy they got rid of her character and that "actress". I prefer Carly over her. I wouldn't like some ho to replace Elita One, either. That's sort of how I feel about Mikaela, she just doesn't belong.

I have no idea why you're comparing it to that. That discussion had nothing to do with a trailer, me and a few others on the board (as well as the rest of the internet) just saw a leaked early cut. The cgi wasn't even finished, for crying out loud. Though the Wreckers doing the "dueling banjos" bit with the Dreads was really funny.
To answer the question, I think there'll be a story in the movie as to why Mikaela isn't in DotM. I don't expect a huge, in depth reason, nor do I require one. The more minutes spent on this = the less minutes spent on fighting alien robits.
For what it is worth, I recall a trailer of some sort where Sam does tell Carly the nothing bad is going to happen to her. I recall that because I LOL'd at that. As if this is going to be a cakewalk for her. The rest as the title says is speculation. And let's be fair here, if you check the poster's stats they have not been online since the posting time frame (at the time I am posting this) so give them a chance to respond when they do come back online. Nope, I dont have a link, but I do recall that statement. I think he is way offbase on the speculation but it is afterall speculation. and, as they say, chillax, it's only a movie.
