I don't care about the actress or the character, but this justification (“giving Shia LaBeouf a new love interest makes more sense for the story") doesn't feel right at all after building up the lovey dovey relationship for 2 movies. To just have some throw-away line about her leaving him "over the summer" or some other bullshit will feel like a cop out.

Plus, not putting her in justifies all the crazies out there that seem to want bad things to happen to her just because she said some things concerning how hard it can be to work with Bay. As I've said before, she's not the first to speak out on the subject, and Michael Bay is not an angel of a man that's never talked shit about people himself. I'm still not seeing the injustice.

Hmm, I bet none of the "BLARGH MEGAN FOX WAS MEAN TO MICHAEL BAY, KILL HER" types have ever complained about their boss after a hard day, week, month, etc right?

Whatever.

Well, this will mean more spur of the moment rewrites if it's true, which is NOT good.

I didn't mind her one way or the other. She wasn't a standout by any means but I never really thought her acting was distractingly bad or anything.

But really, firing what I can only assume WAS a semi-major character in the film right as production is set to enter full swing cannot result in anything especially good story-wise. I'd imaging the writer is pulling his hair out at this point.

I hope they at least kill her off in the movie. It would add a pretty good story arc to the film. Kind of like when Joker killed Batman's love interest in Dark Knight.

 

Meh, Bay will just cast some other ass and pair of breasts to focus on.

I do find it cute, though, to see so many people going "OMG now we get Carly!" as if the movies are really going to start introducing characters from the 80s cartoon.

Killing her off might be the best route to this. But that'd almost be needed in movie.

It'd give sam more drive to do something in this war instead of whine, it'd explain the dempsey character better with a new girl, and all around would maintain the 'realism' they try to convey for a war on our world.

Casualties happen in war. It'd create a better dynamic and hopefully give the bots some lines outside of stuff blowing up.

 

Well, you saw this coming. Trust me, in two years, NO ONE will remember Megan Fox. She will be stuck on "Celebrity apprentice"
