I have seen in several pics where Megabolt Megatron is put in place as the head of Brave Max... Is there some special way in taking his legs off for this to work, or what? Or is it the version of Megabolt that makes the difference?

They're just on ball joints, if I recall.

Yeah, you have to pull the legs off and they're on balljoints like Fosterlager said. Any of the three versions of the mold will work.

It's actually a pretty underwhelming combination, cooler in theory than in execution. :lol

Its not like it actually locks in place either
even if you clip Megabolts hands over the bars it's not solid enough to move Brave round much without it falling off (unless I'm putting it on wrong?)
    I was a little disappointed
Perhaps would have been better if RID had gone to season 3 and they had managed to fit it into the storyline as planned

Yeah, it just kinda sits up there. It is pretty underwhelming but it's kind of a neat way to make him and say Fort Max look different if they're standing next to each other. The weird Gundam at his feet in the pic below will actually fit on the body as a head too. Albeit a creepy head with a little body poking out of the forehead. :lol

Brave Max looks even better with Spychanger Scourge in his green control room.

My 2003 Megabolt broke yesterday. The left lower arm GPS-broke as I was attempting to reattach it.

Huh? What plan? RID was just a dub of a series that ended in Japan in 2000, long before Megabolt saw the light of day. There were no more episodes for them to voice.

Hahaha, does Shane have a Fort Max?

So, the ball sockets aren't attached to anything special with the leg moving gimmic?

The legs aren't really on "ball joints" per se. They're mounted on round pegs with widened heads. That attachment just allows them to 'spin', but that's not the gimmick's movement. The legs are made of soft/flexible plastic, so it's very easy to just pop them right off the mounting pegs. However, it's more difficult to get them back on because the mounting pegs are on moving pieces that provide the 'walking' gimmick.

^ This. And they're prone to crack, two of the legs on mine did when I popped them off for this exact reason.

/\ Which is why I didn't keep trying to pull the legs off. I remember a few months ago, I thought about doing that, but after trying to pull one out, I got concerned about breaking or cracking something.

maybe not a season 3 as was but ... from RID forever

Due to Takara having financial trouble at the time of production for Car Robots, only 39 episodes were created instead of the normal 52.

Which is what I was thinking of

anyway still one of my favourite shows
