Did they ever call him bludgeon in the show ? Or was it just the toys ?

 

His name wasn't directly said but Adam Beechen confirmed the name as Bludgeon on Twitter.

 

Who's the new combiner ? Do you think it's menasor ? Or bruticus ? Or maybe some weird Japanese combiner ?

 

Honestly, I think its gonna be a new combiner.

 

I'm hoping for either the seacons or terrorcons

 

Abominus, Monstructor or the Seacons would be cool, especially if Hammerstrike is part of the team. But i think its gonna be a new combiner.

 

I'm personally hoping for a new combiner made of rid's trademark bestial decepticons.

Though the recent toy reveals would seem to indicate that rid is forgoing what's made it unique in favor of pleasing the Geewhiners.

So we'll probably get a half assed rehash of bruticus or devastator.

I'd love to be proven wrong though.

The vast majority of Decepticons in RiD have been original, but Cyclonus is apparently going to be in the show with mind control powers. So there is a chance it could be Galvatronus. I wouldn't mind that.

One would hope they have enough insight to see this would be preferable.

Maybe I just don't know enough about the line, but I don't think we'll be getting anything here reminiscent of CW. We have the Crash Combiners shown (Bumblebee + Sideswipe & Optimus + Strongarm) & so far that's it, right?

And with the way the RID2015 figures are made do you really think there's enough tolerance for Generations engineering? Don't get me wrong, I love the line, but I doubt they can physically pull off what CW did.

Was there more news about more traditional Combiners being a part of RID2015? I couldn't find any. If there was I think it'd be exciting, but I don't wanna get my hopes up for something that might not happen.

Really? Was it a plot summary or leak of some kind? I feel like I missed it. Well if it's true than it'll be interesting to me just how they choose to handle it. Given what we've seen already for the line I never thought stuff like this would happen.

Hm, so if that's the case I don't really know who it could be. RID2015 is such a mix of new & old it's really hard to predict. I hope they're new characters so that we get some more of that variety that drew me to the line in the first place, but going for a Devastator or Predaking wouldn't be unwanted.

 

Personally my money would be on predaking (yes yes aligned predaking blah blah, it's a moniker in aligned along with a name) considering he just got solicited as being in the revolutionaries comic, what better cross sell than a combiner wars style predaking in robots in disguise, and being in the comics simultaneously. It would kill so many birds with one stone, keeps the beast theme of rid15s cons, cw style predaking, comic and show both selling people on the toy etc etc. that's my bet at least
