Anyone else catch this? Thought it was pretty funny. Definitely better than Epic Movie. And I'm sure people who haven't seen it will come in and say that it sucks. Well they're wrong, but they're just jumping on a bandwagon.
i might see it when it comes out on dvd. last parody movie in this series i liked was the original scary movie
Yeah, Date Movie was god awful. My fiance's teenage sister wanted to see it so we took her. The only laugh I got was during the Kill Bill motorcycle spoof, where the girl got on the bike, and then he stunt double was a big, black bodybuilder...that was pretty classic.
Is it wrong that the ONLY reason I want to see this is because I think a chick in the black Spidey suit is hot...?
I'm gonna avoid it like the plague. Scary Movie was the only parody movie I've seen. They're like internet memes..
I saw Epic Movie (it was on pay-per-view). I may give this a chance when it comes out on video, or see it for the lulz of how bad it could be. It has a 0% on rottentomatoes right now, I think.
Stupidly Funny movie. I had a blast watching it. The you got served bit was so bad that it was good. "Your mama's so hairy she can only speak in one language... Wookie."
Blasphemy! Scary Movie 1 is the king of all Scary Movies! I haven't seen Epic Movie but I have seen Date Movie and the Scary Movies. The trailer for MtS got me interested enough, so I'll see it when it comes out. I won't pay though, no, but I do have a free ticket thingy. Yay me!
0% at Rotten Tomatoes. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/meet_the_spartans/ You couldn't PAY me to see this stupid movie.
I might see this on DVD later. I'm not a huge fan of the current parody movies like Scary Movie, Epic Movie, etc.... I would rather parody movies get back to movies like Airplane!, and Top Secret!. Those movies weren't topical, they were just funny. These newer movies rely too much on current events. In 15 years, I doubt I will find them funny, but I'll still be laughing at Airplane!
Not really. At least I say that to justify the fact me and my roomate wanna see it for more or less the same reason. Dear Marvel: Please start work on a Spider-Girl movie.
That was the last parody movie that I really enjoyed. Never thought I'd have enjoyed it, but the film had me laughing hysterically throughout.
Judging from the trailer it looks like it's a whole motion picture of people getting kicked into that fucking pit, is it really in there that much?
