ELR would be nice if it wasn't a two door. Even better if nor electric. No stations around these parts.

It's not full electric...... It's just a cadillac using the Voltec sytem in the Chevrlet Volt.

It's more like a Reverse Gas/Electric Hybrid but you can plug it up to the wall at night and go 40 miles on a charge till it turns into a regular hybrid.

OK then I am wondering how the price differs. 40 miles on a charge vs 40mpg. Whats the point in that? Hell, even in the 70s they had cars that got 90mpg. Electric cars are only good for drag races.

MPG results are more accurate nowadays. I'm pretty sure those cars getting 90 actually got close to 40 or 50

Plus they were alot lighter and smaller compared to todays vehicles.

The Voltec was designed with the small commuter in mind. drive up to work plug it in drive back without burning gas. Even when it starts up in Hybrid mode you can expect close to 40 MPG some people got 120 MPG out of it during test drives :)

either way it's $2.50-$5.00 to charge up a Volt
$50 when you fill it up with Gas

it's the perfect second car for going to the grocery store or to work....or the theater.

That's possible. The only cars I knew that got 80-90mpg in the 70s were government issues. Then again I got this info from a scientist that had gotten the "wrong" car from the dealer in 78 and had to return it so my knowledge in this is based on someone else's experience.

Eh I like the idea of electric cars but I don't think the technology is completely where it needs to be yet. But at the pace the technology is evolving they do have a promising future.

With a billion cars on the road mass electric conversion wont happen over night or in the next few years what so ever. But its nice to see some drivable designs finally emerging.

While there are owners out there who want everyone in the world to know they are driving electric. These more subtle designs that fit into the overall brand are quite refreshing.

Yuck... does look like a Prime Radicon though as mentioned earlier.

What ever happened to the Cien that was showed a few years back?

    I thought that was cool:

You want decadent, that Caddilac doesn't even come close.

These things are decadent; to the point where I'd call them hedonistic. For muscle, look no further than Detroit (or Melbourne), but if you want decadence, Europe is the place to be.

Like I know that none of that stuff should matter, especially since it's older now, but I really do feel odd driving my dad's BMW sometimes, and a lot of that comes from the fact that it's a Z3 convertible.

Probaly faded away like many other good ideas that the big shots don't think are marketable enough. You guys are right though, as these totally look like Eradicons. I actually wouldn't be surprised if that's what they were designed to look like anyway, sort of like how Bumblebee was designed after the Camaro.
