TFcon Toronto - Canada's Transformers Collectors Convention
I was lucky enough to meet Dan at Auto Assembly last summer, he is a great guy.
Cool! Little Bumblebee!
The Canadian con is going to be so cool this year. If I wasn't on a mission to save up some big bucke I would go to that instead of Botcon this year.
Maybe he will reveal that... HE IS VOICING SKIDS for Rotf
This con just keeps getting more and more awesome.
I don't know what to say. My favorite voiceover artist ever and they annouce this the day AFTER prereg CLOSES!
Is there any way I can still get tickets in advance? Help!
Well, you could still get in at the door.
This isn't Botcon. You can buy admission at the door and get into all the panels and such on Saturday and Sunday, I believe - you just probably won't get a Powered Commander and you'll miss out on Friday night events.
I apreciate the suggestion and I honestly don't mind missing out on Powered Commander or the Friday night events, but it would be rediculous for me to drive all the way to Canada, book a hotel for two nights, take time off of work, without the gurantee of having a ticket before doing so. Otherwise how do I know whether or not they would still even have tickets available and not be sold out by the time I get to the door? Toronto is lot closer to me than BotCon in Califonia, but it's still not like it's a close as downtown or anything.
I emailed TFCon, I hope they can help me out. If not, I really just can't go without that guarantee. It was really bad planning of them not to announce Gilvezan before the prereg deadline and it upsets me that I may not be able to get to go because of it!
There is no maximum number of admissions. If you show up at the show and pay your money, you will get in, and get access to the dealer room, and all the panels and events that day. You will also have the opportunity to purchase a Powered Commander set, but one will not be reserved for you (as such, they may run out). Not having pre-reg may limit you from participating in the friday night events, but they're more informal and social than anything else, as fun as they are.
Book your hotel (though the Doubletree may be full by now, there are many other hotels in the area), organize your transportation, and just get there early on saturday to avoid waiting in line.
There's nothing preventing you from going to the convention because you didn't pre-reg.
On topic, Bumblebee! Yay!
Yeah, the response I got from the TFCon people pretty much confirmed all that. Now my next obsticle is getting time off of work. I thought that part would be easy until I learned that a lot of people have already requested the 25th off, so I may have put my request in too late.
If for any reason I can't go at least I can still look foward to seeing people's con videos of Gilvezan.
So .... exactly like Botcon.
