This kinda lights up my world. Don't mind the parts forming at all with the end result being a nod to the g1 toy as well toon figure, it is done well.

The pannels on the arm bug me a little, but perhaps that is being too picky. And sadly still no bicep swivel.

    All said still rocks.

There is no comparison imho, cutting off half of IHs chest window was criminal. Never needed the figure because of that.

I'll still get him, especially if he keeps the low price point of Soundwave. Ironhide is one for whom I forgive partsforming, because of the precedent set by the G1 toy. I like Ironhide and Ratchet to have their sleds, so that's more a feature than a bug for me.

WOW, he looks fantastic in bot mode, and i dont give a rats ass about legend size having partforming, do whatever it takes to give me best looks. That DX-9 Iron factory is ugly in bot mode, with that back flap that shows from the front.

Finally, YES, I will only be missing Chromia now to complete my comic cast (for what i care for anyways)!!! I got my IF Windblade, and this will be my Iron Hide, and got my IF Starscream, and my MM Metroplex. It is all coming together!!! YEAH BAYBE!!!

Based on the pics, I assume this is going to be substantially larger than the original DX9 scale... that even DX9 seems to have slowly abandoned. While we call them legends, they're really more like scout/small-deluxe figures at this point. Bottom line, this should dwarf the old ratchet.

I have no cares to give about partsforming. As long as it looks good in both modes and the price stays reasonable, I'm in. He looks great, and I'm sure the eventual Ratchet repaint will too. I mean, a line of $15 3P G1 scouts? How can I possibly say no?!

I love my DX9 Ironhide, but I will pick this guy up too. Limited articulation and parts forming are fine for the price Mech Planet charges.

I feel like this line isn't legends anyways. They are sized to go with Hybrid OP. I hope they reissue that set soon (though if Mech Planet can make a new OP that can works with Hybrid OP's accessories that would be awesome).

Looks solid, and partsforming doesn't bother me (it's a nod to the original toy). I don't mind DX9's, but if they keep the cheap price they had with Soundwave/Soundblaster, I'm down.

I should probably add that I have nothing against the partsforming, it just isn't for me. :)
