But this MP Prime is MFT scale and MP's stuff is pretty cheap, not much more than MFT's KOs. So you should be good, no?

I don't see the point in transparent windows, unless you plan on giving the alt mode a semi-realistic interior or a drive. Most of the time, great I can se through the window, and look at a load of jumbled robot bits

I agree. I like the blue painted windows on the cell shaded versions I’ve seen. I’m a sucker for a more toon accurate version though.

I prefer windows transparent but like smoked so that the bot bits are more hidden. On legends sized figures, though, I wouldn't mind painted windows.

It looks like the ankles are either on ball joints or just a slider for side to side movement

I thought this was dead in the water? We haven't seen anything new (not counting that 'official' digibash) since the MechPlanet split.

I hope not. Isn’t Mech planet still putting out figures? They have that new hearts of steel bumblebee coming out.

They are, but as I understood it they had a falling out with the G1 Hot Soldiers designers, and they split from Mech Planet:

So if I read that right Mech Planet are going to be pocket warriors now? And Optimus was a Hot Soldiers design? Just two separate companies.

Hopefully one of the two will keep this Optimus going, they have to know there is a good market for one in this scale.

I would assume that also puts the kabosh on their Sideswipe and Red Alert as well. Dammit.

Are these Mech Planet KOs of Hot Soldiers the smaller, bigger, or the same size as the official Hot Soldiers version?

Is there a Mech Fan Toys KOs of Hot Soldiers? Mech Planet was the company that created the Hoy Soldier line.

I don’t think MFT has KO any of Mech Planet’s figures yet. Mech Planet’s Hot Soldiers line is very reasonably priced as is. Unless MFT decides to upscale or downscale them to make them different, I’m not sure they can KO them 1:1 and make it any cheaper.
