That may be true but I don't think I'll be collecting when I'm 105 years old!!!

 

I don´t care as much for the G1 homage, those look good, not essential stuff, but given some spare moneu I might jump on those.

 

These look cool. Might get them.

 

I spoke to the guys at Mech Idea and the price is going to be around $40-$55, that's the price point they are aiming at.

 

Now I know I want the Hasbro versions.

the problem is these may tower over Hasbro's "new" deluxe size.

 

i'll stick to paying a buck for the originals online. these look cool but not $50 cool, and i've always hated their alt modes. they actually pull it off well on these toys though.

There's just so much awesome stuff coming out.. Unless I get a crazy-good job, I'm going to have to pick and choose. And these guys, while awesome, just don't feel essential. They'd probably get cut first, but I will get them if I can.

 

I like these 3rd party Jumpstarters but I have issues with them. For example, Twin Twists' drills are too small and non practical as the 'cockpit' protrudes too forward. I know it's a toy but the illusion of functional realism would have been nice.

Their proportions are also a little weird, their upper bodies are too wide and they have little legs giving them somewhat Gorilla proportions but that could be the CGI render. In G1, the Jumpstartes had huge thick legs giving them stocky but consistent proportions.

 

Okay, guess I have been living under a rock, hasbro is releasing an updsted version of twintwist and topspin?

Well, if you call the repainted/renamed versions of FoC Bructicus "updates", then yes.

 

The FOC Bruticus moulds are being redecoed as the Wreckers with new heads and weapons.

Well, particularly on here and similar websites there's going to be concentrations of fans who do find this essential, or seriously consider purchasing it. I would suggest that there is a big overlap in the fans/active supporters of 3rd party groups and those who like the Wreckers. Not that I'm suggesting that is a vast number of sales; of course a thrd party 's business model is built on a notably diferent approach to supply and demand to HasTak's work, for the most part.
