I need more than the UT toy again.  First of all; I adore the pocket scale, and once you carve a bit off that one inner sculpt blocking the transformation it\'s fine.  I can tell they added a bunch of detail, but you could argue that\'s a natural choice so it doesn\'t look like a blown up legend.

If the headmaster feature is there, I might grab this - I missed out on Tom & Jerry from UT.

Well, bummer. A character I really like, that looks like it could be really good, in a scale that's close to - but not really compatible with - the scale I collect (legends). Had to happen someday. I guess I hope (unreasonably) that mft thinks these guys are carbot size, in which case they might just fit in with legends, or hope dx9 or ms will do headmasters at some point. Or, you know, get it as a stand alone.

edit: also, looks like he has some diecast (head/upper chest/cockpit)? I could be wrong.

Cheers for the link. I do actually have a couple of palm war sets (the recent apeface/snapdragon ones), but I’m not a fan of them if I’m honest. Mainly for articulation reasons. Thanks in any case!

Chromedome and Weirdwolf are my favorite Headmasters, so I’ll be getting this guy for sure. The WIP version is still fun, but has lots of room for improvement.

As to which collection this will fit into... eh, who even knows. I’m starting to feel like I have more than one Legends collection building, between all the different companies’ releases and their slight differences in scale and aesthetic. I think I’m okay with that, though. I’ll fit them all in somewhere.

Hmm, doesn't look like the articulation is much improved. The shoulders seem the same, even head doesnt look like it can be rotated because stem of shoulder ball joint... He does have thigh swivel.

it's the fomo thats going make me buy these if i do.

Comparing to UT in front of me, every surface of the MFT is remolded with more/different detail. Neat. Hopefully he gets a swivel in the neck this time.

Edit: Looks like they gave him a thigh swivel and possibly something different in the bicep.

So do I chuck my UT collection???  I'm starting to think I can actually SKIP bad Legends releases now...

Some MFT toys are larger, true. But weren't the HMs larger than the regular bots (in the Headmaster cartoon)? So if these are slightly upscaled (i.e. MFT Magnus or Cyclonus), it might STILL fit well with your Legends shelf.

Wait a minute...isn't that 3rd party is Chinese:confused: ?! How come the promotional image have Japanese?! Is it because they have large base of consumers in Japan?!

As for the toy itself, looks pretty good. The arms are tad bit too short, but it's a robot. I'm glad to see more headmasters, whether it's official or not.

Another notable difference are the larger guns. To compensate, they relocated the peg holes in alt mode to the rear windshield instead of the hood. The effect on bot mode is that the peg holes end up hidden inside the ankle instead of frontward on the toe, which looked bad on the original.

So this is an original mold? Will it be larger than legends size?

Yeah, I was hoping that might be the case. I like the scale of the hms being op/galv height, but 12 is probably a bit too big to work for most of them. I’d be fine with the horrorcons being that height though, and they’re the two best palm war figs I’d say, which is good if they’re using those as a base.

He's definitely on the top of my list too.....

When I look at my MFT collection so far, I smile to myself and think, I love these little buggers.....

The guy was asking for his chest stats, the headmaster gimmick that's not in the picture.
