To take a break from the WWII Transformers (where I have to really concentrate and put all my thought into it) I did a few simple drawings of some of my favourite G1 characters. So here is everybody's favourite Dinobot:

I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out, so I'll probably do a colorized version of it. I'm gonna try at least.

UPDATE: Added Flat Colors. Now it#s time to do the shading.....

    I use mostly these:
Amazon.com: PITT ARTIST PEN BLACK SET/4 Drafting, Engineering, Art (General Catalog): Office Products

For the finer lines I use a pigment liner, size 0.2.

The great thing about the PITT pens is that the have a long, pointy and bendable tip. That way you can get varying line-weights in a single stroke, depending on how much pressure you apply.

But no matter which pens you use: inking is a completely different beast from drawing with a pencil. You need a steady hand, confidence and a lot of practice. I'm still struggling with it.

And another thing: don't drink coffee before inking, it makes you jittery. ;)

As supersquad said. I mean I voted Erector knowing the whole time he wouldn't win. I'm surprised afew other charecters didn't win twice as many votes as they got.

Getting back on subject nice, solid art. (Wish I could do that or rather sit down long enough to do it.)
Can't wait to see more. also just as a request can grimlocks sword be a flame sword like in animated. You can't beat a flaming sword.:p
