Do you keep them in package or open them?

I keep them in package and hang them on the walls. But I just realized that after I took them down to rearrange, they left stains on the wall. I'm not sure if it's dust stains or what, but I tried using Lysol wipes to clean the walls and it didn't work.

Also, is there a cleaning agent one can use on the clamshell packaging without damaging it or making it cloudy?

I only have one and opened that puppy up. My brother in law keeps all of his in package (more to protect them from his kids). Don't know about the cleaning though.

    I've only ever bought 4.

The 3 Hanson Brothers from "Slapshot", and the Devils Martin Brodeur.

They're opened...and somewhere that I can't recall in a box. Hadn't really looked for them since the move in 2002.

I used to be VERY into these, I have some quite rare pieces.

I have only opened my doubles of my Cardinals figures and an Al MacInnis, I had them on my desk at work but when I changed jobs they all moved into a box.

I had some hanging on walls, as well as other McFarlane figures like Movie Maniacs, the Twisted land of Oz series, some Spawn figs etc...When I started taking them down for storage there were spots all over the walls...My thoughts are where moisture was trapped in behind the packaging due to temperature changes.

As far as cleaning agents go, I've got nothing.

I have quite a few. Well, about 20. I use pegboards to display them, so there is no marks on my walls. I didn't use pegboards to prevent it, just it's easy to change my display.

But, I can recommend it. that is, if you don't mind pegboard on your walls.

What exactly are the peg boards you use? I'm having trouble visualizing. Maybe because I just woke up. :lol
Ah. So your walls had stains on it too? I was beginning to think that it was only me.

I wonder though, all those Star Wars fans that hang their packaged figures on the walls. Do they have the same problem? I've never had any friends mention that.

Oh, if anyone happens to find a cheap one of the following MISB with unblemished packaging, let me know! I find that the stuff that I want are never found here because they're all home team players. :(

    1. Jerry Rice (49ers)
    2. Reggie Jackson (A's)
    3. Evgeni Nabokov

I never had any problems with stains on my walls when my Star Wars were up. I have about fifty or so Macfarlane Figs and no stains on the walls either. Strange. I used to see Reggie Jackson everywhere at the stores and when I used to work at KB's too. Rice was a no show, people bought him up like crazy.

Hmmm. I guess it depends on the humidity of your house then with the wall stains?

Is it pretty dry where you live?

Were those Reggie's the A's one or the Yankees one?

I had to go all the way to friggen Alabama to pick up my A's Catfish Hunter. :mad

I think alot of those stains come from the type of packaging, how long they have been up...etc.

I also had some carded Star Wars and TF figures hanging up on the same walls but there were no stains behind them, just the McFarlanes.

Pretty sure I have an A's Reggie, I was a huge baseball collector...The Niners Rice however...did escape me :(

Yeah, I think since the back of the packaging isn't flush with the wall with the center indented it tends to trap moist air or whatnot, thus leaving stains.

I think the Niners Rice escaped everybody. Damn you Todd for making him a variant!

Thats why I quit collecting...All those damned variants made me crazy obsessed!

Now when I go to the site I try to stay away from the sports stuff, if I see a Cardinal I will buy it...I don't want to go down that dark path again. I probably have 100 or so of those things spread across my parents house, my apartment, and storage

Yeah, the only variant I have is the A's Catfish Hunter. I still can't believe I had to go to Alabama for that. :mad

All the rest was pretty easy to get. Minus Ronnie Lott. I couldn't find him anywhere. A board buddy found it for me though.

Now I eagerly await Eric Chavez.

Variants are a bitch, the only way to get them is to work at a toy store, go to a toy store where no collectors work at RIGHT as they work out a case, or order them online.

Fortunately I was able to do all of the three...Have some real nice stuff, which is why it is hard to get rid of, but I think I will be selling off most of it shortly...With the exception of a few choice pieces which I wont go into right now... :D

They are for storing hand tools. Home Depot sells 2'X5' sheets pretty cheap and then you can buy various hooks for them, I'm sure you know what I mean. I could go snap a pic if I need to.

I have the UBER RAREZ0RZ Tejada, thats my pride and joy, but will bring me some nice bank someday. Was a dealer sample that never made it to retail...I think there are somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-10 confirmed in existence. All white uniform (white jersey and pants). :D

I think I used to have the variant Zito.

And I have both regular and variant of the Cards Mulder :D
