The Transformers Club's new auction site, the replacement for the discontinued Master Collector publication, has gone live today.

While I have been pretty happy with shifting my Transformers buying and selling from Ebay over to the TFW b/s/t area, it's nice to see another option out there. I'm curious to see what it will end up costing the end user to use it.

    EDIT: http://www.mcax.com/aboutmcax.cfm

This outlines the cost. Free for now but $5 a month in the future for sellers. Buyers are always able to use it for free.

It should be emphasized (it's not clear on the site itself, but the e-mails help, and Pete's confirmed) that members of the TCC (or the GI Joe club) don't have to pay that $5 a month. That would be for non-members.

Alternatively, there's apparently free variation that allows you to bid, but not to sell.

AND they seem to be doing a free trial period for all until Labor Day. (already noted in the link you give)

That's not exactly a box flat. It is a printing proof sheet. May not be the same paper type that the box uses, also may not have punched sections, etc.

How all who use it enjoys it. I'm just not yet ready to give my credit information to a Beta site.

    Ebay:
This is my issue as well. Not to mention that this site will have the same problem as any other non ebay site: Lack of visitors.

I currently use ebid at times but every non ebay site has this problem.

I got the email confirmation, it says to put in your username and pass, and then a key. But I clicked the link and it I was already logged in. What exactly is the key for?

The key was requested when I logged back in, and had to be done before I could bid on anything. If it's been different for you, I can't explain it.

If anything, I'm looking forward to the option of FP using this to clear out Club and 'con exclusives that are gathering dust.

    Poor orphaned Leozacks...

I actually saw something on there I wanted to bid on. I'm a club member, but still can't register. It says "credit card authorization failed". Thing is, I double checked, and then triple checked my info and it's entered correctly. I also know the card is good and has the 1ยข available for the authorization. Heck, I just used it at Taco Bell and Wal-Mart. Anybody else having trouble signing up?
