Why are so many people still buying All-Star Batman and Robin? You think they'd all have learned by now.

    Jim Lee's art.

And some people like me also buy it to laugh with (or at).

Still though, right now they're at the fourth issue, and I think subsequent issues will indicate if other people are still willing to wait to see if The Goddamn Batman will fight That Clown From Metropolis, The Sin City-Influenced Ball-Buster, and the rest of the Miller-JLA.

i buy All-Star Batman & Robin....i think it's better than the DC Proper Batman titles. But mainly because of JIM LEE. I'll buy any book he does even if it sucks (ie. Superman) or even if he does a page or two art.

and why are people buying Wolverine: Origins....nothings good in it???

My bad, Newsaramas list (which I was looking at) only does up to 100. I've added the rest now.

It was only a few years ago that DC only could maintain one or two comics in the top 15, things have really changed since. DC has improved and Marvel has been treading water at best.

Its too bad there isnt more emphasis on Annihlation, with maybe the fantastic four or Hulk involved in it (maybe its not too late for Hulk!). I am hoping Civil War picks up, I have high hopes for Marvel Boy getting involved at some point as has been alluded. That mini-series is one of my absolute favorites and I would like to see the character make a comeback with the sort of sharp writing that Morrison gave him.

    83 TRANSFORMERS INFILTRATION #5 estimation 25,650 copies

100 TRANSFORMERS BEAST WARS #4 estimation 21,327 copies

109 GI JOE VS TF VOL 3 ART O/WAR #3 estimation 19,520 copies

    150 TRANSFORMERS GENERATIONS #3 estimation 13,091 copies

(estimation based on last months index figures by IDW)

Note the drop in sales of Generations with the price increase. If you run the numbers, you see that IDW likely lost money with this strategy. The price hike in sales X the number of units sold likely brought in less than the lower price X thousands of more copies sold. Might be better to drop the price back down, no?

Overall, though we don't have the final tally, pretty stable figures of all other TF titles, with the slow oozing of a thousand readers here and there.

Because while comics are a medium of both art and words, the art drives sales.

I wonder what Transformers would do if they put Don in charge of G1.

Beast Wars was great, and Don's art is a testimony to his talent, but I believe if Don wasn't drawing that series, it wouldn't even come close to the # it hit. People over-estimate the popularity of Beast Wars, simply because it's too "new" for the newer generation to relate to what its importance is.

Honestly, I don't know why the Generations title exists. It's an okay idea, but most of those stories are avaible in trades, aren't they? And even if they aren't, to print them in a totally random order?

Generations is the worst title that was made...it's one issue, not the Arc if it has one, just one RANDOM issue....not remade, just reprinted....and did i say RANDOM issue....

Beast Wars was the best that came out from IDW so far....

I Love Generations, I have 3 old G1 issues, and no acess to the trades. This is the perfect way for me to play catch up.
