That Headmaster drone got his shit tossed.

Can't wait for this series, especially to finally see how Shockwave plays into Furman's plans.

Guess that´s a fast way of getting rid of Shockwave for him not to appear in AHM.

You know, I really loved the IDW-verse, I really did. But then they have thier main book move at a snails pace until the 6th issue every arc, then they skip ahead to All Hail Megatron with an un-explained status qou shift which will "Eventually" be explained. Then we have Maximum dinobots which will "Eventually" come out and fill in all these gaps "Supposedly"

Yeah... sales of the -ations titles weren't doing so well. Revelations was cut down from the usual amount of issues to four and also served as Spotlight issues too.

All Hail Megatron is a soft reboot for new readers to jump in to the series although I do find this annoying to long time readers like myself and there's a number of continuity errors that bother the most observant.

Its not IDW's fault - they have had to adjust their long term plans due to sales figures.

Looks good. Since IDW seems to be following toy models now I wonder if this means MP Grimlock will have red fists too

OK bear with me here.....I know NOTHING about TF comics. Is this available at your local comic shop? Is the title of the comic book "Maximum Dinobots"? (That way I can go in asking for the right book.) And why the hell is Grimlock tearing up Sunstreaker? Aren't they on the same side?

THANKS to anyone who answers my questions!!

    1. If the comic shop gets this in, then yes.
    2. Yes, it is called "Maximum Dinobots".
    3. The Machination, headed by Scorponok/the human Dante, captured Sunstreaker back in Escalation and used him as the template for an army of Headmasters.

If that's a Machination Sunstreaker, then it has the wrong eye colours. Machination Headmaster Sunstreakers have red eyes, while the real Sunstreaker/Hunter O'Nion has blue eyes.

EDIT: Yeah, that's a Machination Sunstreaker clone. The separate jaw design is different to the real Sunstreaker.

I don't believe Maximum Dinobots is meant to fill in the gaps (unless IDW ordered Furman to rewrite it). Max Dinos is there to tell us what's going on with Grimlock versus the Machination & Scorponok on Earth while Optimus Prime and the other Autobots were elsewhere in Revelations. I believe it's set concurrently with Revelations.

If Shane McCarthy was under no obligation to use anything from Simon Furman's storyline, I wonder if Furman is under any obligation to clean up the continuity issues created by All Hail Megatron?

IDW's All Hail Megatron series usually followed toy designs when there was an available current Hasbro toy. I believe Guido said that Hasbro requested they change some of the characters to reflect the new Universe toys (doesn't really explain dudes like Astrotrain and the seekers, though. Those toys haven't been available for a long time).

That Grimlock design is just the same Grimlock Nick Roche designed for Spotlight: Shockwave back in 2006.

I read the comics religously and still find it hard to see AHM as a continuity. Auto bots and Deceptions that were killed off, or damaged beyond repair are suddenly back all over in top shape with no explanation.

Reflector for example was totally destroyed in Spotlight Wheelie.

Looking forward to reading the Dinobot books as I wanted to continue on with that storyline.

Reflector is one case that isn't actually a continuity error. Wheelie states in his Spotlight that he's been trapped on that planet for a very long time, up to meta-cycles (1 meta-cycle being 13 Earth months), so the comic likely takes place quite some time in the future.
