I can't wait to see this next weekend. I'm glad it made $35 million this weekend even against that other movie that shall not be named. I was afraid it would just make about half of that and be one of those movies like Dredd that everyone loves but not enough people went to see it.
Saw this yesterday and thought it was amazing. Obssered Villain plan, no romantic sub plot, great bits of comedy and amazing action. Love the part in the church when the agent explains why he was leaving was hilarious.
actually; if this movie was made in the 80's or early 90's, we "kids" not only would of seen it. but we would of gotten action figures too. and there were actually quite a few families, with kids, in my theater. so it is good to see that some parents actually DO care what their kids watch. and they want their kids to watch quality action films, and not stupid edited down garbage.
I saw it last night and I loved it. The scene near the end when he was trapped and the solution they came up with nearly had me in tears from laughing so hard.
Saw it today and absolutely loved it. Matthew Vaughn can do no wrong. The whole movie felt like reading a comic book. That church fight scene was off the charts. I may own this on DVD.
I don't know why I laughed at something so brutal but Spoiler when the heads all explode in brilliant colors, why did they all have different colors? I was laughing so hard and I wasn't the only one. With the music and everything just hilarious.
Just deserts, MTME. They were willing to sacrifice the rest of us for their new world order so when the tables got turned on them it was a delicious slice Irony cake.
Colin Firth Could Return For The KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE Sequel I wonder how they'll work it out...

I just got back from seeing it, and it was indeed awesome. It was hilarious, action-packed, and had a good soundtrack. Matthew Vaughn is quickly becoming one of my favorite directors. That church scene was brilliant, and I noticed there were barely any cuts. Spoiler I didn't expect Michael Caine's character to be a bad guy. I thought he would be the traditional guy who is proven wrong in the end. It was nice to see Mark Strong not play a bad guy for once though. I was really surprised by how good Taron Edgerton was. It would have been really easy to make that character seem like a dick, but he manages to pull off a roguish likeability.
The Ending Joke In Kingsman The Secret Service Making A Controversy And Director Matthew Vaughn's Reaction " I studied all the old movies, especially the Bond ones. At the end of Moonraker, he’s floating around in space on Dr. Goodhead, and they say, “Bond is attempting reentry.” In The Spy Who Loved Me, he says he’s “keeping the British end up.” The innuendo is pretty strong and always comes from the men. I just thought it would be great to turn it on its head by having the woman say it. I actually think it’s empowering. Some bloody feminists are accusing me of being a misogynist. I’m like, “It couldn’t be further from the truth.” It’s a celebration of women and the woman being empowered in a weird way in my mind, which will cause a big argument again I’m sure. It’s meant to be tongue-in-cheek and crazy." Well, feminists have never really taken to Bond.
