What is this small ultra magnus version? Is it a KO or official?

It's the official ko I think.
    He's a little short for a stormtrooper.

Today is just not my freakin day. UM's crotch piece snapped when I pry it out from vehicle mode and unfold it.

for your information.. I transformed UM for less than 20 times since I got him 6 weeks ago.

To you guys out there.... BE very, very careful.

Ive yet to encounter any fragility issues myself, and ive transformed mine well over 20 times. I do go easy on the shoulder hinges and when im adjusting the ankle rockers though, just to be safe.

Can you post pics to show exactly what you mean, and exactly where he broke?

That's grim. I warned about this when it was released and create a thread on the toy section to gather the numbers of people with stressed crotch pieces.

Sorry to the worst happen to somebody :(

If it helps any, mine is almost there right now. The stress marks are bad.

I never realized that piece moved until recently, and I've never moved it out of fear. So truck mode looks marginally sillier. Not like it was perfect to begin.

Sorry about your break. At least I'm happy it still holds.

Damn I feel for you! You do have to be careful with that part - it's pretty tight against those raised red boxes in alt mode so it can stick slightly and bend as you are pulling it upwards to flip it round. I kinda put a bit of force pulling it away from those red boxes towards the cab before I lift it - opens up the clearance just enough that it doesn't snag and bend. Protects the paint too which started to rub on mine.

That is indeed a bummer! The consolation is indeed helpful too.

Sucks to see that he's breaking for some people.

I've transformed my Magnus maybe two or three times, but I am under no illusions as to what he is - a somewhat expensive adult collectible.

I have very little interest in transforming him even five times, let alone close to twenty? But I guess everyone is entitled to do what they please with him. :p

Indeed, shame that Citizen Stack doesn't have a pair of hands like these.

Usually when I transform him, I do it slowly in some places like the shoulders and that waist piece. At the waist I lift it up enough to get my finger under it either way it's laying and then use my whole finger with the tip down at the pivot. Then I push down just above the pivot with one finger and then use my other hand to push the crotch end in place simultaneously. I've yet to have stress marks or anything one that piece or anywhere. And on Wheeljack, I don't even fold his wings up, I just lift them enough while moving the rear quarters / shoulder sections to clear the wheels, and you can do that without using the pinned joint.

I learned my lesson with Transformers back in the 80's when I broke a couple Mirages, Megatrons and Prowls to go gently during transformations. Especially recently when I broke a few newer ones from the damn movie series ones....they broke in the stupidest places too, didn't help they were harder to move pieces past each other on some like the ROTF Deluxe Mudflap and those legs and feet, and the HA Skids and his hood parts.

I don't understand why fans keep using the "adult collectable" description as a way to explain/excuse poor design and QC issues.

Imagine you bought a new car and it died after the fifth time you turn it on. You bring it to the dealer and they tell you "what did you expect? This car is made for adults."

Products should work when they are used as intended, Transformers included.
