Well, I had an extra "Greenscream" lying around, and after getting inspired by Wheel_Jack's awesome conehead seekers http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/208384-mp-coneheads.html I decided to try and make my own over the holidays. Thanks for the inspiration Wheel_Jack! I think I worked on this on and off for about a month, but it's finally done.

The only part I'm not totally sure about is the partsformer head - I may do something similar to Wheel_Jack's Thrust and use a junker G1 seeker to rebuild his head. I will probably work on the decals a bit more too.

Please feel free to give me some constructive feedback!

    Enjoy!

A couple of work in progress pics:

I made the wings and tail fins out of a plastic For Sale sign from Wal*Mart. Built up a few layers to thicken the wings. I took the rotors from a Neo Shifters toy on sale at Target.

Airbrakes deployed! It was really tough getting paint to cover everything and not rub off on contact - I had to sand and repaint a few times:

Hover mode - the wings can be rotated around to look like he's hovering in robot mode:

The paint work really shows how hard you had to work to get it right. Simply fantastic, and the Alt mode is excellent.

Man your paint apps look flawless. I'm also very impressed by the complexity of the wings.

I've never been a fan of the conehead look on the MP's,
but other then my personal opinion on that.
Everything looks flawless, I think the wings are perfect.

This is amazing, I love the coneheads! Although his cone looks a little too wide just above the face. Still, nice job!

Oh my god! He's PERFECT! You've gotten the scale, the details, EVERYTHING just right! :)  I don't know why, but Thrust is my favorite of the Coneheads. I totally want one of these!

Thanks for all the kind comments everyone. The paint was something that I just had to redo quite a few times but I guess the obsessiveness paid off!

Orion_Prime48: At first I also thought the rotors stuck up a bit too much, but I wanted to go for some bigger fans that were more like chopper blades even - I always thought the fans on the G1 and especially classics version were a bit small.

big hank: I actually scratch built the rear stabilizers using the same for sale sign as for the wings.

As far as the head goes I might take another crack at it - after all the sanding I did on it the nose cone really doesn't fit together with the base as well as I'd like. I'll post some more pics if I go for it - right now I just want to enjoy him posing with the other MP Decepticons. :p

Okay, looking at him again I realize I lied. :p  I built most of it but then glued it to the base of the F-15 stabilizers so they could attach to the existing joint. It's easiest to see in the pic with the airbrakes deployed.
