Been tinkering around with this guy for a little over a month. He's been curing for about 2 weeks now, mainly becuase I forgot about him after I finished, while being wrapped up in comission work. He's been base coated with Krylon fusion, then airbrushed in various shades of Testors Model Master enamels. I did a little drybrushing here and there, still experimenting with it so I didnt want to go overboard. I even did a little bit on the eyes to make them sorta "glow". Just listed him on ebay as well.
You my friend have great skill at painting. Looks like plastic. I really respect the fact that you allowed the paint time to cure. I think everyone that has ever made a custom is so anxious to assemble and see the finished product that they really don't take the time to let the paint dry completely. This is a great example of a professional paint job
Definitely! Professional grade painting right there! would also like to know about the wing strips.. they look like they were tampographed on...
That's the best Sunstorm I've ever seen. You painted the stripes? Wow. Very impressive. Which seeker did you start with?
Thank you guys, yup, stripes are painted. I got a lot of practice masking Revoltech Seeker stripes, when you get to the big ones like this, it's much easier. I use the Tamiya masking tapes, you get a clean, straight line everytime. And K.B., he started as MP Skywarp, I got almost a dozen of them a few months back.
He really looks great. Once again you have done an amazing job. I really love those stripes. I may have to commission some of these MP Seekers someday.
That looks awesome - he almost looks like he's glowing! This mold is a biatch to paint with all the rubbing parts but it looks really clean - that pesky hinge that allows the wings to fold up in robot mode is the worst.
Thanks! Thanks, yeah that hinge is a pain. Probably the only thing on the whole figure that I saw any chipping on. I even hit it with sandpaper, I'm guessing it just doesnt like paint.
fantastic as usual friend, this really does look like plastic rather than painted, reall good job spot on g1 colours well done ,hope it sells well for you.
