I was going to but I think I'll pass. He's a damn cool looking figure but I am not looking forward to owning another $60-100 toy I cant transform or play with because he's so damn breakable. I'm completely happy with my Classics SS and my Robot Masters TC & SW.
A little off topic, but does anyone know if Hasbro would release MP Megatron here? I mean, if it's just the whole orange plug, I don't see why not.
Much of the complaints of fragility about the MP-03 were fixed on MP-06. Provided the Hasbro Starscream is made the same as Skywarp, you should have nothing to worry about.
Not a chance in frozen hell. They have stated many times they can not release G1 Megs or MP-05 because of US safety laws
Maybe we need a stickied or front page topic with the info and large red flashing 100 point text that reads "Please stop making new threads asking about when Masterpiece Starscream is coming out." That should cut the new threads asking when MP Screamer's coming out to once a week or less.
No, really, what we need is a site that actually puts this kind of information in one common and logical place. The entire problem is that somebody comes here with a fairly specific question and then they have to dig through months of threads and news blurb that are very repetitive, low on content, outright wrong, or some combination of the three...and that's when the search engine actually decides to work properly. Small wonder, then, that people just post a new thread and no amount of empty "but I'm tiiiiired of seeing this!" complaints alone will change that.
Are you sure? I dont think the feeback thread on him (at least the first post by the original author) made any mention of that. "If you loved MP Starscream, then I highly recommend Skywarp as he complements him nicely. If you didn't...well there isn't a whole lot I can say to convince you otherwise, other than his deco is really really nice. I had heard from news reports that they were gonna fortify some of the mold's weak spots (like the wing joints) with diecast, but they didn't do that, which is kinda disappointing as I can almost tell the wing joints will eventually show those same stress marks again," I had Alternators Rodimus, and loved him, but I'm just not into that thin shiny plastic. MP-05 has given me enough problems with it and I just dont want to go through that again.
Everything I've heard says that the US Starscream is of better quality (see: less breakable) plastic. Heck, it would have to be to fit the toy safety standards. DN
Right, they didn't replace any plastic with die-cast. However, the plastic feels much sturdier and less breakable. One thing that was said over and over in the thread I read was that he felt more playable. You didn't feel like you were going to break him just be handling him. I agree with that. My Skywarp feels like aces.
Does anyone know when MP Starscream is coming out in the US? Also, when is the TF movie hitting the Imax? Hey! When is the TF movie releasing on DVD? Has anyone seen that new animated series? When is that coming out? Boy howdy, those toys look really, like totally kewl, man! Does anyone know of any kewl TF forums and websites? I can't find any on that internets.
Skywarp is a floppy mess assembled out of squeeky plastic that doesn't fit together in jet mode. MP-03 has soft plastic that tends to split, but has a tight waist joint and fits tightly together in jet mode. They are both flawed, but a must have for Seeker lovers. US SS will be interesting since he does not look glossy and this might eliminate the tuxedo rental shoe squeekiness issue. Hopefully his stripes are painted on too.
No chance in hell. The only way they could get away with it, would be to paint the thing neon orange and purple. And then no one would pay that much for it. Even then, the realistic yet out of scale alt mode is pushing it as far as getting parents to buy it, because it wouldn't exactly fly off the shelves from collectors buying it. I can't even remember the last time I saw a gun looking kids toy with an orange tip that wasn't some $2 pellet gun from an icecream truck. Airsoft and bb guns don't exactly count.
