Well Hasbro made the 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime. Why not make a 20th Anniversary Starscream?

Well a betting man would say that they would release a G1 colored version closer to the movie.

Anyone got pics of MP Starscream 01 and 02? I'm not sure if I like the colors of 03. Although he does look awesome.

There is no MP Starscream 01 and 02. MP-01 is the original Masterpiece Optimus Prime, and MP-02 is Masterpiece Ultra Magnus.

There is only one colour scheme for Masterpiece Starscream.

I think you're confused. MP-01 is Optimus Prime. MP-02 is (a white repaint & sorry excuse of) Ultra Magnus. MP-03 is Starscream. MP-04 is just the MP-01 mold with the addition of a trailer.

The Starscream you have (MP-03) is the only model/color of that character they've made so far. There's a rumour that Hasbro may release it with accurate colours, but nothing has been confirmed.

    1) They're tied up with movie toys.
    2) To pass U.S. safety standards they'll need to re-design the toy a little
    3) In it's current state, the toy is too flimsy for Hasbro to market.

They DO see the demand though, it was brought up to Hasbro many times at Botcon a few weeks ago.

Hasbro is looking out for us, they just have to make sure it fits current safety standards in the US and that a retailer will order it.

Its also worth mentioning that while we've been getting new Transformers every couple weeks in the US all this year, Starscream is one of only a handful of Transformers or TF-related products that came out in Japan this year.

    MYTH.

During the BW and BM timeframe a number of molds were US designed. The BW mutants for instance....
(Right now we have the Titanium line as non-Takara ;)  )

As for MP Starscream. An anime version with the crown shown in the THS-02 booklet should be made available from a TakaraTomy club of some sort....
(along with a roller for MP-04)

Weren't both of those debunked as myth before MP03 and 04 were released?

    Yes, indeed they were.

And the Hasbro team has reiterated at multiple Botcon panels that it's very much a give & take between Hasbro and Takara on the design process, with both groups providing input throughout. I wonder how this rumor continues to persist when it has been nullified so many times?

Fan2Fan, a Japanese-based site/store/etc. confirmed that the closest thing to a Takara-Tomy "club" was the ability for Japanese fans to order a STARS-style (as in, the original TF club) membership card through a magazine. There's no club, let alone exclusive items like an anime-recolored Starscream to sell through it.
