Hello there. I just purchased the Walmart MASTERPIECE Skywarp and I'm very happy with him.
I'm wondering if the Japanese Takara Coronation set will work with the Walmart version as well as the Japanese version?

LoL, the way you spelled masterpiece makes me think Sean Connery said it. And as far as your question, they are the same mold, just a little different in the paint aps, so one would think so.

Thank you, I wasn't sure how close the two are to each other. I'm pleased at how easy this guy is to transform compared to Megatron. I love all the different ways he can pose.

The coronation sets weren't Takara-made, by the way, but an unofficial fan production. They're still quite good, however. Although the material for the capes looks a bit tacky and heavy (the stitch work is brutal). The crown and shoulderpads are great quality, however.

All the MP Seeker mold are basically identical outside of the interchangable faces so yes it will work on any of them.

Connery? What you mean? My spell checker said it was piece.
So if the molds are nearly identical, then what IS the difference between the Japanese Masterpiece and the USA version?

This is how you spelled it in your body of text "Mastperhece".

Only difference between the 2 is the paintjob...and price. Otherwise identical.

LOL! Oops sorry. I didn't realize I misspelled it that way! I'll correct it, thank you!
Is Masterpiece Starscream still available at some Wal-Marts? Is it worth looking for him or would he be long discontinued?

Best $8 I ever spent on a Masterpiece. Can't wait for the eventual Thundercracker.

It's got Starscreams (smirk/stoic) faces rather than TC/Skywarps faces. But otherwise is the same, outside of iffy paint applications.

I don't know if TC will come to Wal-mart given then at a $60 Masterpiece is selling for $5-$30 everywhere. I won't buy one at $30 since I have a great Takara one, but who wouldn't spend under $20 on one. That's just ridiculous.

Uh, question was is Starscream still available at Walmarts? Where else should I look for him? Would Target have him?

He still averages for around retail though. Pretty good for an exclusive.
