So I went ahead to my Walmart thinking the worst since my walmart never usually gets anything good(Ghetto Store) and found MP SKYWARP.

I am blown away at how G1 accurate he looks, and I am glad I don't have to worry about ugly decals peeling off, thanks Hasbro for painting on everything...and for giving him "Yellow Eyes" for my G1 toy authenticity.

I do plan on using paint thinner on the nosecone though but then again Idk.

The toy looks great, no complaints at all really. I still have yet to take it out of it's plastic prison but I am reeeeeally hoping it's not all loose, wobbly and fragile like my Walmart MP Starscream.

the only complaint I have is the price. I only paid $35.00 back when Walmart's MP SS came out.

$60.00 is a bit much to pay for the same mold and faces. :(

Takara Masterpiece Skywarp has stickers; Hasbro Masterpiece Skywarp has no stickers.

I picked mine up today when I saw about 20 of them at a wal mart out of town. I wasn't sure I wanted to drop 60 bucks on it, but after playing around with it for an hour or so I'm glad I didn't pass on it, though I'm secretly hoping I don't see him in the clearance isle in like a month at my local wal mart.

The only thing I didn't really like was when the check out girl rang it up and tried to talk me out of buying it, which was a bit weird.

Finally picked him up today, and I am pretty happy. There are enough differences between the Takara and Hasbro versions where I don't mind having both. Looking them over next to each other, there are so many things I like on both that make them both unique to where I can't decide which one I like more. I am glad that the stand (or the peg) is a lot tighter than my US Starscream. Finally even got a toy that came with an extra piece, two of the Megatron Gun mounts. Not that it is a great extra piece, but it is nice to finally get an extra rather than being shorted.

Overall it is well. If only I can find an original MP-03 and we get a US T-Cracker and I will be one happy 30 year old kid.

When I bought mine, the cashier asked me if I also wanted to buy a service plan for $6, kinda weird.

Picked up one today. Apparently only the Wal*Mart Supercenters have them in NoVa. Haven't seen them at any regular Wal*Marts at all.

Was surprised they didn't put Takara MP Skywarp's toothy grin on it but was glad that $60 is relatively cheap compared to any other Shoji Kawamori creations.

Your story might make many of us jealous... seriously.

btw, I really hate the fact that Wal-Mart did seem to allocate this item to sell at supercenter... and my bay area location had like only one in over a dozen walmart I think... so far only one or two stores got these within an hour driving among the dozen stores... This supercenter policy really sucks....

Where is the Wal*Mart Supercenter in the Bay Area? I think the only one I recall is in Gilroy although I'm not positive. I know the ones in Martinez, Pinole, Oakland Coliseum, Hayward, Union City, Stevenson Blvd, Mountain View, and Fremont weren't.

My nephew lives in Los Gatos and he probably will be SOL if he wants a MP Skywarp.

only one of the two stores at San Jose got positive sighting by our forum members.. the other one might not have it after the weekend or never had it. I wish some Wal-Mart Exec read my comment... yeah that policy sucks...

Yeah. I just scored my tenth version of this mold:

    3x Greenscream
    2x Takara Skywarp
    2x Takara Thundercracker
    1x Takara Animated Colours Starscream
    1x Walmart Animated Colours Starscream
    1x Walmart Skywarp

    ... I need more Thundercrackers!

That sucks. Especially since the entire Bay Area lacks Supercenters.

I had to drive 20+ miles myself today to get Skywarp. :redface2:

I got that as well. Why would I need a service plan on a toy?

This is a great piece. But the one I got has a broken (anntene) fairing on the left vertical tail.

Not necessarily true. There have been 7 confirmed Walmart store sighting in the last three days within 20 miles of my area and only 2 of them are Supercenters.

Too lazy to look back, but has anyone had issues with his fingers snapping off (not popping out of the sockets, but snapping off the actual plastic it's attached to)? I've only had him 2 days and last night the joint on his left hand that holds his middle, ring, and pinky fingers just snapped as i was moving them. He's fixed now with a little superglue, but i was wondering if anyone else had this issue.
